I have reached a settlement offer with All My Sons Moving Co. I am glad this is finally resolved. Thank you.

When we were in the process of loading Ms. R's items, the truck was being backed up in the driveway by her husband and the truck did in fact hit the ac wall unit. The extent of the damage was the plastic cover which covers the back of the unit. Here is the reason why you can't believe everything consumers write. We spent several hours calling, on the internet, trying to find this piece. We could not find it. Everywhere we looked, they said the unit was so old, (12 years old), the part is not available. We then offered Ms. Ronzone a $50.00 settlement offer. She then went into a frantic hysteria and became unreasonable. She then filed a claim with the BBB, and stated that she had a place to get the part. I contacted her immediately and asked her why she didn't just tell us she knew where to get the part? I informed her that would immediately get it and put it on the unit. She agreed and then went on to tell me how her landlord was trying to get a new unit out of this and I told her and she agreed that the landlord was the shyster here and the unit worked fine. She told me that the unit was in perfect working order and the landlord was being difficult intentionally. I then ordered the part on 4/09/08, order# F724657 from Sears at the cost of $109.46 including shipping. After 2 weeks of waiting and numerous calls from Ms. Ronzone, we were told that the part was no longer available on 4/17/08. I have the receipt for anyone who would like to view it. She did not care to see it. At this point, we offered her the amount of the part and that was not enough for her. As I said from the beginning, the unit works, and her landlord is trying to scam her out of her security deposit. As far as her allegations to being over charged, it a very simply calculation. Start time, finish time, plus 1.0 for travel. I don't know any other easier way to explain it. This is also another attempt to cloud the issue at hand. If anyone out there thinks that I did not want to pay $86.00 to settle a claim, then there is definitely something wrong in Denmark. If Ms. R would like to re-think her situation and wants the $109.00 as settlement the offer will be available until 6/30/08
