Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My wife has had a trip through Phoenix to Maui on her "bucket list".  When someone has Stage 4 cancer, bucket list items are of much more importance!  Less than one year ago she was scheduled to fly on Allegiant Airlines, but was hospitalized when her Stage 4 cancer symptoms were exacerbated.  I cancelled her flights with 4 days notice and was told, "This might take a few steps, but I will take care of it."  We had purchased the pricey flight insurance they offer so that if such an issue arose, we would be covered.  I should have known, when you hear that you are pretty much destined to be screwed.

To make a long story much shorter, after months of trying to get responses and not a refund but just credit for that flight, we have been denied.  The lastest message said, "This is the final decision on this matter and no further correspondence will be answered regarding the same issue."

Allegiant basically told me that I was lying and the flights had never been cancelled.

Out of curiosity I checked this site to see if there had been any other similar complaints against Allegiant.  WOW!  How does a company with this type of customer service stay in business at all?  I know I will never use this airline again.  If this report can keep a few potential customers from the same type of experience I have had, I recommend they do the same.

You seem to have misunderstood--there was never a credit given. Allegiant received the money for the trip plus the money for the insurance and we received nothing except being called dishonest--in spite of our following their rules.

YOU were given a CREDIT for the amount of your flight. As with many of these airlines your flights are PREPAID. Meaning that if you cancel its too bad. YOU were given a credit by your own post. YOU wanted MONEY!!! There is where the REAL problem is. THEY are NOT giving YOU MONEY!!! Sorry but you havent been ripped off, you were compensated for the cost of your trip with a credit. This post isnt to report some grevious event, no this post was made so YOU could get some form of petty vengence on them. YOU THINK that by making THEM look bad its going to have ANY decernable impact on thier customers. Small fact for YOU, PEOPLE ARE CHILDREN!!!! Just like YOU, YOU ddint get your way so YOU are going to put YOUR VERSION of the truth out on the web and attempt to cause THEM harm online. But there is a REALITY here that YOU are ignoring in favor of playing the best victim you can. The TRUTH has three sides. If I were to look at the "facts" of your post and cut them by 2/3. Then I would have a closer version of the truth. YOU are being less then honest in an attempt to perform internet blackmail. Shame on YOU for twisting the truth to further YOUR agenda.
