Complaint Review: Alliance One - Darrin Gusloff - Trevose Pennsylvania

Well guys, we are making progress. The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue has acknowledged that the tax claim is false. They have adjusted my account to zero and removed the judgment. Now I have three steps left in the process: - Get an apology from Pennsylvania (good luck on that). - Repair my reputation (the above comments filed by Alliance One are hard to get away from - they caused a lot of damage in my job search as employers did credit/Google searches). - Get damages for Alliance One's willful invasion of my privacy. By the way. PA got the judgment without serving me, without giving me a chance to respond, without having an attorney of record, without providing proof of the tax liability, and without having a judge of record. That looks like a kangaroo court to me. Pennsylvania justice! Apparently there is one judicial system for ordinary citizens and there is another, much lower threshold for government entities.

I hate to say it but yeah you are not suppose to disclose information to a third party via website or anthing. I'm not sure how it is for taxes but I'm pretty sure they should not have provided your last name...

The response by the alleged supervisor of the collector, representing the collection agency violated the law when they listed the [debtor's] last name here. The original poster only identified himself as "Steve". The collection agency identified him as "Stephen" and also used his last name, and then proceeded to tell the world that he owes tax debt. This is a direct violation of the FDCPA, and several state laws. A collector may not in any way publish information on a debtor, or the debt owed by that debtor. I would file lawsuit on this agency RIGHT NOW, as this post here on Rip Off Report is your EVIDENCE!! Take that $1000 you will be paid for the FDCPA and apply it to the State of PA for your tax debt! What could be better than to make a bottomfeeder pay your taxes!! Don't get mad, GET PAID!! You have a "slam dunk" case right here. Get a lawyer TODAY!!

I have reviewed the comments of "Ryan", Mr. Gusloff's supervisor. First of all, I was not informed that there was more than one person on the call (uncertain which one he refers to). Mr.Gusloff was the only person identified at the beginning of the calls. Either Ryan lied in his response here, or he broke the law by listening in during the collection call without identifying himself. Secondly, Ryan's use of my last name in his response is a violation of the consumer protection laws. I have clear grounds for legal action. I did report this contact to Alliance One's senior management since I thought that scammers were using the Alliance One name; HQ didn't care enough to respond. I have gone directly to the PA Dept. of Revenue to investigate this claim. They have not responded yet.

Dear John, Im not an employee of the company in question. However, when in doubt, validate the claim yourself. In other words, if Stephen has doubt as to the validity of the claims that he owes tax, he can easily contact the PA Dept. of Revenue himself. As for you, you can also call the PA Atty Gen. office and confirm that Alliance One DOES collect delinquent taxes for that state. Bottom line is that Stephen has made a false claim....he just doesn't want to pay his taxes. I'll even bet that it's only a matter of time until Stephen finds himself with a lien placed against him by the state.....liens are matters of public record and published for all the world to see. Oh....by the way....I am a consumer.

OPosing as an alleged consumer is a riot. You alleged went through al the bull**** you typed but failed to do any REAL research. Nice try fools.

I CALLED THIS COMPANY AND DID CONFIRM THAT MR GUSOFF DOES IN FACT WORK FOR THIS COLLECTION AGENCY. FURTHER, I CONTACTED THE PENNSYLVANIA DEPT. OF REVENUE AND THE PENNSYLVANIA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND CONFIRMED THAT ALLIANCE ONE IS IN FACT A COLLECTION AGENCY THAT REPRESENTS THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA. STEPHEN, IT'S MY OPINION THAT MR GUSOFF IS AN ACTUAL COLLECTION AGENT ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT ON A DEBT, OWED BY YOU TO THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. YOU SHOULD DO YOUR HOMEWORK SIR.
