Alltel, bogus contracts. Little Rock, Arizona
My family has been with Alltel for years and have not realy had any major problems with them. I wish I could still say the same. Knowing that we have not had to many problems I (stupidly) extended my contract for two more years.
Last week I went to the local Alltel store to look and see if they had any plans that would better serve me than my current one. My phone is an absolute POS so I was also looking into possibly getting a new one.
When the lady that works there got arround to me we sat at her desk and I told her all of the above. She started typing on her computer and then told me that because I was still in crontract that I couldn't change my plan nor could I get a new phone because I was still in contract. I could however, pay the out of contract price on the ever popular nokia phone, wicth of course was well over $300.00.
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought that a contract just ment that you would be with that particular company for a certain time frame-NOT the same plan and the same POS phone. If I had the $100's of extra dollars Id cancel my contract and go somewhere else!
