Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My fiance originally was referred to this company by d**k Morrison of Morrison real estate also based in Middletown. We finally figured out why there are so many letters addressed to so many different people at the propery located at 715 South Ave. in Franklin, OH. It seemed all those people tried for this house too.

My fiance makes $32,000 a year, has a FICO credit score of 527, and has according to the mortgage guy, "A-1 credit" We originally went in around the end of March or the 1st week of April, 2002. He made his first promise to close with d**k Morrison there by the end of April. It came and went.

Then 3 More promises later, I am here online filing my rip off report on the brokers. They do not return phone calls and say whatever it takes to get you off the phone. Given, the sale was only for $74,000 or $64,000 with every interest rate between 7 and 9.25% Even though he deserves a 6.85% with his credit score.

We don't know, we are too busy signing blank purchase offers to know what it is going on. My latest promise is to close Friday the 31st of May. A 2 months now for something that should've only taken 1. Sounds like incompetence or discrimination of the self employed. He served my country and couldn't do a V.A. with him so He went conventional.

He pays $1,700 to Uncle sam and another $200 to the state of ohio every three months. Guess that isn't enough responsibility to make a mortgage payment of anywhere between $482 and $632 Depending on which week it is and the interest rate for that week.

We will file an update when we either get turned down or get the keys to the new house. BBB says zero complaints. I checked them out online there too. Almost so fed up, Seriously considering a rent-to-own trailer in Catalina mobile home park in Middletown. We will be the clients from hell for poor old Charles at Alpine. Look Charles, Give us the loan dammit and you won't hear from us again and I will update this report.

I wanted to get your attention here in public. People are watching this from around Cincinatti, Middletown, and Dayton area. Ball's in your court now. I can't afford $250 a week for temporary lodging anymore and don't have $1000 to move into a townhouse anymore.

Since all the bull that went on, I figured that if good credit gets me screwed, then I might as well file chapter 7

Thank you.. Well here is another update. Since all the bull that went on, I figured that if good credit gets me screwed, then I might as well file chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have since found a home well out of the area that is three times as large 2,100 sqaure feet versus 675 square feet for $200.00 less a month. So I relinquished all rights to the house and turned it in. Got rid of $71,634.80 of debt. This house was only worth $30,880 but yet appraised inflated at $65,000 and quit making payments of $737.57 a month (those were minimum payments) on a 30 year libor loan. If that isn't predatory, then I don't know what is. Seems the ones who lost here was Wells fargo and Saxon mortgage (which there are reports here on them too.) There is a realtor in Middletown who specializes in small houses. Usually has new vinyl siding on it and steers you to this broker. I am not giving his name yet. Somehow the city and servicing end of Saxon thinks I live there but bankruptcy was in early August. Easiest thing I have ever done and well worth the $824.00. Was supposed to auction Aug 9, but never made it. Let them weeds grow!!! We need predatory loan laws here in Ohio desperately. Wake up government. Renting is definitely better and cheaper.

what's up now....

The people at Alpine finally found this through a friend of one the employees there. They called me and chewed my fiance who is seven months pregnant and attempted to rattle my cage while I was driving a 80,000 pound truck through Chattanooga,TN. She has been cramping all weekend now due to stress. They could have clicked a box here on the report that says "REBUTTAL" and tell me why I am messed in the head but want to strip away my first amendment right to tell my story and personal review.

I do check this quite often. It was what happened to me to the best of my knowledge at the date and time of the entries and many others who watched me go through this. Even the realtor was becoming frustrated and showing the house to other people while we were in a purchase contract. Ask Big Dan next door. He sees and knows everything that happens on the street. We were told by a supervisor and realize that "certain people" in a rush of business can forget to tell all the details of a situation.

If I knew at the time what the outcome was going to be, I would have never went through with it. I had mobile home parks lined up and was told to keep on waiting. We are still searching our paperwork for the details of the loan. No luck so far from what they said to look for.

Going to go on tuesday and have them point it out and I will highlight it. Did have an idea but doubt it would work with them. I can put sweat equity into this place and acquire an extra lot on paying back taxes only for a garage for 4K in material and Nations rent supplying the equipment. I do have a constuction background too but don't pursue it due to it being seasonal. It may add 15 to 18K the appraisal so we can work up the value and do a 80/20 Split of the loan. It can be done. Nobody is perfect. Not you or me. Only God is perfection.

We could've done an informational picket across the street with permits from Middletown City offices, or went to the state finance board for direction but we didn't. Look, I really didn't mean to "piss" you off. Even though I wrote all this, I severely doubt it put a crimp in your business. Remember when we went through this, Nobody knew anything that was happening. I hope nobody got amnesia since then. Just documenting this and as long as there isn't a pattern, like option one, saxon, or 20-some-thousand reports in here there shouldn't be a problem. Find me a good deal and I can redo it again.

If there is a problem with telling a personal story, Then sites like walmartsucks.com and ripoffreport.com should be banned from the free world and I would leave this country which is becoming more communist every day for a truly free country like Australia or Canada. Is there a pattern here yet? Don't freak out and swear over one report. My name is all over the internet in truck safety violation sites. Like Safestat, the U.S.D.O.T. in Washington,DC. Bowling Green,OH., D.A.C., and Ohio State patrol. Need more places that I am in? I am not threatening legal action against them am I. Sorry dude....

Talked to a financial planner and he said....

I talked to a financial planner today and explained the situation of the above. He shook his head in disbelief and told me what I already knew. I paid $1649.35 to Alpine to represent my interests. They get you to sign the highest rate loans to make them attractive to loan servicing companies so they sell easily. I should've got up and walked out. I am sure Charles would've called me the following friday saying there was a mistake and gave me the 6.75% to 7.25% loan I deserved. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! They will not represent your interests. Walk out on them and see if they call you back with a lower rate. Forget what the old lady has to say, You will be better off. I am sure they would not want to waste thier time for nothing. I am refinancing anyways and am going to save $168.00 a month. Cost me $4349 to learn this lesson. $1700 prepay penalty, the $1649 original cost, and I'm guessing $1000 to redo it over. Clark Howard would have my head on a platter for this. Would break even in less than 30 months though. Oh, By the way, on Sept 5th my loan will be sold to the 3rd servicing company. Remember, I only made 4 payments so far ontime since we closed on this in June. Guess I have to keep those cancelled checks. They are about to royally screw up my history on this. It's good if you're on welfare, got your phone ringing off the hook with collection bureaus, and you want them to twist your numbers around. But for honesty, you won't find it there. P.S. It was a 727 fico score, Double checked it. Thanx again, C+M in Frankin.

Actually a correction here

I read the comment and apprectiate your sympathy toward the self employed. Seems to me that more and more individuals today are self employed or are a contractor to a firm. Eventually the lenders will get the picture. One cannot trust a corporation to retire from anymore and has to make income in a variety of different non-traditional ways that they never would think of thinking of. I checked the numbers on the fico and it was supposed to be 720 instead of 527. Oops on my part but that I believe was about the 50th percentile. They revamped my payment and it is now $30 a month cheaper than before but I have to keep an eye on Mr. Greenspan to see if I can survive 34 more payments before I go to a credit union. When one is waiting 2 months, living very "portable", and has personal effects spread about three different counties (or Parishes), One does not think straight and has no choice but to take what they have and be happy. Once again, Thank you rip-off report.

no doubt it sounds like you may have gotten poor service from this company, but a few thoughts come to mind. unfortunatly Self-employed borrowers serve a greater risk therefore tighter lending practices and slightly higher interest rates, especially if they only state their income. A 527 score is not good, in fact its downright bad. Almost all lenders REFUSE to look at any score below 500, and your pretty darn close. Good luck on the refi, and get those scores up!

Alpine's update .. Still got screwed

Ok, as promised, We are updating this. Did get the loan and keys and everything else completed on this. Though if they say 30 days, it would really mean 9 weeks. We started this about April 1st and here it is June 5 at closing.

It may seem that there were errors and alot of corrections to make. If you have time to do your own lender and the know how, do it. If you are like me and can't quit your job to make time to buy a home, These people are better than nothing.

Still got screwed on the interest rate due to a on-the-job injury last year that put me out of work for 3 months. Oh well, Re-fi in 3 years. I would still give them 5.5 out of 10. We may have seemed harsh at first in the above report but were very desperate.

Making 1099 income really didn't help much either. Well anyways, It worked and I would say do it if have to. It has been frustrating for everyone and pray my loan doesn't end up in the hands of OCWEN or some other company listed in this site.

Thank you again Rip-off report. :)
