 I purchased a MeLE S1 media player on EBay from AMAR Electronics, EBay ID arnym35, before I bought it I had several messages from the seller and he was talking it up like it does everything for a media player, IPTV, NAS and can handle 3tb hard drives. So after I got it I bought 2 NEW 3tb drives off EBay and the problems started there. First I noticed the IPTV 90% of them wouldn’t load and the rest were in Russian or Chinese. No good to me, so that didn’t work. Next, the RAID system it’s supposed to have, it does but only if you hook it up to a PC with the USB cable, what good is that.

It’s supposed to support 300mbps WiFi , but it only hooks up at 12mbps, with the adapter he suggested. He suggested I hook up a LAN cable, who wants a cable running through my living room, but what good is 12mbps, nothing.

The 3tb drives would not read in my PC and the Media player. I ended up having to format in my PC then put it into the player, it was a bigger problem than I explained but I didn’t want the story to be too long. It couldn’t read the format when I formatted the drive with the player, something internal not right there.

Next thing I sent him a email for the free tech help he said he would give for three things, IPTV, slow WiFi, and the 3tb drives would not read in the Media player. In the process of him helping, it started to freeze and reboot all the time. He blamed it on me like I installed some other software or did something to it. Absolutely refused to think it was the player. 

After a few messages he replied the free tech help is limited and almost over so I thought I better send this back if I have these problems right away. It didn’t do what was advertised. He refused to take it back so I put in an EBay dispute, not as described. Just for time, in short, they denied it because AMAR Electronic said I broke it.

Come to find out it was one of the 3tb drives that went bad causing the reboots and freezing. His reply was that I manufactured stuff to try and win the EBay dispute; he even stated he did a background check on me and knew I sold some stuff, recently moved, tried to intimidate me and said I was a professional scammer. The customer service he has is the worst service I have ever had. 

Then after that he told me I need to leave positive feedback with all 5 stars or I will not get any software updates or future help, that’s called feedback extortion. I can’t believe how I was treated, threatened, intimidated and he left positive feedback for me but the description was slamming me calling me a liar and scammer again. I had to call EBay to have his feedback removed. And of course all these email messages were sent to my personal email so EBay wouldn’t see how nasty and rude he was being. Kind of like he knew exactly how to win a dispute. 

All I can say is NEVER do business with him, the player works good for a media player but that’s it, if you have a problem his Customer Service is absolutely horrific. 

Now it doesn’t work all the way and he says call the manufacturer or find help myself. He should not be in sales. There is a lot more to this story but I actually tried to keep it short. 

All his help was to just tell me what I shouldn’t have done, nothing to actually help. If he actually does finish helping I will give update.
