My computer was down for two months. I have had AOL for about 1 year and a half. We got a new computer and I loaded the AOL disk onto my new computer. They had asked me to update my billing info so I gave them my checkcard number from a bank account that I had opened about a month ago. I was balancing my check book and there was a $268.00 debit that was from AOL. I called them and they said that I had been billed for a whole year service. I have always paid on a monthly basis up until this point.

When I talked to the rep he told me that they would stop the payment from coming out of my checking and a new amount of $28.90 would be billed. Well they never did that I called and talked to a supervisor he said that I had to wait until the next billing cycle to get my money back because it was there software that made it that way and there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. They gave me a free month. Big Deal. All I wanted was my money It was two days before my daughters birthday and I was screwed. I am only staying with them until I get this taken care of after that I am switching. They do not care about anyone and there customer service stinks. They do not know what they are talking about and they lie.
