Don't be fooled....this is a scam operation! As an airline employee I can assure you that we DO NOT hire through third party resources. We may advertise an Open House or that we are accepting applications on CL on the internet, but we would NEVER solicit money and guarantee ANYONE a position whatsoever. Those that say they have received employment through these people are lying and are probably the people running AMERICAN CAREERS.

If you desire employment in the Airline Industry please inquire directly to any Airport or Airline Website and then search careers. Its as simple as that. You do not have to pay get a job. This is similar to one company that advertise postal jobs that want you to pay for the exam. Simply go to USA JOBS and apply. If you have been taken, I'm sorry but chalk it up as a loss and lesson learned.

After applying and if positions are available, you have to take a test for further consideration. Its as simple as that.

For the rebuttal that's gonna come from someone who has gotten a job through AMERICAN CAREERS (notice that its NEVER an actual employee that replies in defense??), please tell us a PHYSICAL address and office of Mr. Kevin Blackford (ficticious hr person)? The physical locations given do not exsist.

You wonder why I am on here and why I would comment after I already found a job.  Not that I have to defend myself or what I do.  I like blogging, and talking online in my free time.  I found a company that serviced me being bad mouthed and I spoke out about it.  As far as me making comments now...it is sent directly to my in box every time that you make a comment.  I just responded, simple as that.  I am not a troll.  Just a hard working individual.  I am honest and did get help.  I was just wondering how you helped.  Most people don't do that service for free.  That is why I asked.  I don't know if you have ever dealt with American Careers or truly know what they do.  I do first hand.  No, I don't work there...no I am not a fictitious individual.  I just like to see the stories straight.  As far as why or how American Careers operates.  I don't have a clue about that.  I just know that I got what I paid for.  I will encourage others that had a good experience to do the same.

I thought I was finished with you, but the fact that you chose to question my sincerity and motive made me decide to dig deeper into you (American Careers) and this is what I found. Innoncent readers please take note! First the names (Kevin Blackford and Yvonne Foxworth) are taken from "MUGSHOTS.COM"! It's easier to steal a name from those type of sites and many criminals do so when giving fake names. My source in Law Enforcement (my cousin) advised me of that and is interested in this now as well. "Yvonne" is supposedly head of your NYC offices right?? When I saw the number listed under your Baltimore address I immediately got suspicious because being from the Baltimore / DC area, I know that's not the area code for Baltimore, so good try in covering your lie on that one, BUT, you make the address at the Baltimore Office out to be an actual Office with a suite when in fact it's actually a post office!! You simply dropped the PO Box from the title! But anything mailed to that address will still go to the PO Box by simply using #6399!

I hope this further shows to EVERYONE that this company is a fraud. If anyone foolishly decides to believe you or anything about this company it's on them and they have been warned.

Since it seems that you are one in the same (Kevin,Yvonne and now Harry) I'll end this banter with YOU once and for all! It seems that you're more interested in my profile name than the actual and factual information that I put out so ill explain it to you. ADL LIMO is a company that myself and many others have had a bad experience with. If you would have been smart enough to see that I posted about that company here on RIPOFF and with the BBB you would know and understand why I chose that name as I had no intention of being a REGULAR Ripoff report poster.

Go ahead, check ADL Limo out here and on the BBB website where their grade is F!! I kept the name when I posted about this pathetic company because the young man I mentioned in my last post (See the Southwest RA @ Dulles) came to me through a mutual friend asking about job opportunities. He had mentioned that he contacted AC (called the number) and wanted to know if thats the process for getting a job with an Airline. I provided him the information and a POC and he was successfully hired. So no need to worry I don't plan to use ADL LIMO SUCKS for my next Ripoff report Ill just use AMERICAN CAREERS SUCKS instead. Would that be better for you?

Ok, now that that's out of the way lets talk about YOU! I don't know who or what you are but since you chose to make this personal then I will oblige you in doing so. All of my comments were directed to someone who wants a job in the AIRLINE industry. How or why that is of any concern to you is beyond me as you have already been helped by AMERICAN CAREERS. So your patrolling of Ripoff Report and countering a comment made contrary about them further let's me know that you are one in the same person. But if you had actually read and comprehended what I wrote, you would have seen that I let the readers know that if they wanted information to simply contact me here.

It's as easy as exchanging email addressees! But I'm not going to give my first name and the company I work for so TROLLS such as yourself can use it illegally. And I wont leave a fictitios name like you! You say that you don't understand why I would want to help someone?? Why not If I'm in a position to do so?? You will find that there are genuine people in this world and hopefully I can be considered one of them. I got mine, and I'm tryin to help others get theirs without being robbed in the process! It's as simple as that. I don't need or want their money, so now what??

But thanks for not talking about the information that I put out. I expect another post from you (under a different name of course) or another AC success story to attack this post so ill let you know now that I won't reply again unless its someone who I feel is genuinely interested and wants information!

So you can take this anyway you want because its not about you! Unless you work for AMERICAN CAREERS of course ;) Bye Troll!

So, I have been on here for a while and have just gotten that there were updates on my response from August.  Wow, Nice is all that I can say to someone with the screen name of ADL LIMO SUCK!  I would rather someone give me their name so that I can contact them, rather than someone who claims that they can help me and have an interest.  If you have an interest in not charging a fee where is your contact information.  What company do you work for?  I can say that I found much success with American Careers.  They were there when I needed them and helped me more than you could ever imagine.  I am very happy with my job at the hospital.  I can't thank Kevin enough for his guidance in helping me to obtain employment.  I know that Kevin will do everything in his power to help the candidates that ask for his help.  He told me first time that we spoke that if he was unable to help me to obtain employment that he would give me my $ back.  What is your deal ADL LIMO SUCK?  You do this out of the kindness of your heart?  You gonna give me everything that I need and the help to obtain employment?  You are going to invest your time and energy in me...someone that you don't even know?  Yvonne Foxworth, please tell Kevin thanks again for all of his help!

I'd like to add that I am speaking 100% about their advertisement for AIRLINE JOBS! I don't are if they helped you (those who defend them) get whatever other job you claim they have helped you get! For those seeking AIRLINE employment, this is NOT the route to use. If you are eventually hired by an Airline, THEY (Airline) will pay the $38 fingerprint fee and all other associated fees that comes with hiring you, even paying for your transportation and hotel cost to your training location. If you want to pay your money to a company to give you an application then by all means help yourself. I'm speaking to you as a person with over 20 years in Aviation (Retired Navy ABH), and 3 with my current airline who are you willing to trust?

I'm asking you to keep your Money and trying to help you (reader), help us! So if your looking to be a Gate Agent (which are sent to Charlotte or Philly if you live east of the Mississippi or Phoenix if you live West of the Mississippi for training which includes hotel, air accommodations, and PAID training) or Ramp Agent (the baggage movers and plane handlers), then take my advice. Also another note you should be aware of is most (if not all) airlines have stringent testing (drug and academic), so be prepared and serious about this career. With my Airline, you will be tested at the Open house or Interview. If you pass the test and interview, you'll be assigned an orientation and class date. You will be paid for your attendance at orientation and you will be given material to study for as you will be tested on the first and everyday of class.

So there, I've just saved you (reader) $39. Now how you apply is up to you. You can take my advice and apply online or look for an open house, or pay $39 to get an email/mail telling you the same thing I just did. You will STILL have to go through an airline HR representative. With the Holidays coming up, we're needing more people to help move Millions of Passengers and Baggage. I should also tell you that American Airlines are in Merger discussion and may not be hiring until after the new year. I helped a young man obtain a job as a Southwest RA @ Dulles in the past month by telling him everything I've told you.

If you really want an Airline Job!

Good to see a reply from someone "real" from American Careers and that's nice :) But if you really want a job and you're in the Washington DC area please post that you are interested here and I will post our HR contact information as we are actively hiring due to expanded operations here in DC and at our hubs in Charlotte and Philly. As a Ramp Unit and Customer service Manager, I will not and cannot allow let people be taken advantage of. Hell, you can pay me the money AFTER your hired if you like (that's a joke!!). BUT, there are some things required of you. You MUST have a fairly clean driving record AND a clean CRIMINAL history as two background checks WILL be done on you before ANY company hires you. These checks are done by TSA, FBI and the local Airport Authority before you can receive a SIDA badge.

AGAIN, DO NOT pay anyone to "find" or assist you in getting a job. I have no vested interest in anyone reading this I just want you to keep your hard earned money in your pockets and let you know that Airlines are actively hiring! Again good luck and God Bless.

American Careers Is Not A Scam.

OK folks, please let me try to shed a little light on this thread.

First off, my name is Yvonne Foxworth. I'm a Career Counselor at American Careers (NYC offices).

For the doubters out there, I must say sorry for any confusion or misconceptions about us, but we certainly are NOT a scam. I've been here for 6 yrs. Indeed, I'm very happy with the results I have personally obtained from the many Applicants I've assisted to gain employment at various airports/airlines across the USA. Success stories with many different types of Positions, at varying pay rates, anywhere from $14 to $22 / hour.

Regarding our Service, we simply assist Applicants obtain employment through the information that we email/mail them to get them started with the Application Process. We then follow up with phone support via our Career Counselors to assist them in every aspect of the Application Process (Application, Resume, Cover Letters, Thank You Letters, Interviewing Techniques, etc) through our Airline Career Development Guide & our Airline Hiring Update, which includes current listings
of Airline Positions & descriptions which the Applicant may then apply for at various Airlines. We will attempt to obtain as many interviews for the Applicant as we possibly can. The $39 one-time fee we charge is refundable in the event we are unable to obtain employment for the Applicant.  Details are included in the paperwork the Applicant receives.  This is a vast amount of information & assistance which could potentially require many hours to perform individually. This Service will soon be available to Applicants via a new website now under construction:

http://www.americancareersjobs.com/

We have many success stories here with regard to Applicants who have taken the time & effort to read / follow the instructions listed in our Program, and have indeed obtained employment at various Airports across the USA. Obtaining employment takes time and effort. If Applicants are not willing to follow instructions or contact us for help, we can't possibly assist in those efforts. I will gladly personally assist anyone out there in their efforts to obtain employment. Please feel free to view our BBB review in MD:

I was never guaranteed a positon.

First, I want to say the person that wrote this report probably has never spoken with American Careers to even know what they are about.  I have first hand knowledge because I have worked with the company to find a job.  I was guaranteed my money back if I was unable to find employment, I was never called and told that I had to send money to gain employment, I read about American Careers in the Employment Services section of the newspaper.  Hence, Employment Services.  I had a service to help me find a job.   I have seen a lot of scams, and this isn't one of them.  I worked with Kevin, who is not a fictitious character, and I am not an employee of the company.  I am just a person who called the # for a little bit of help.   I found a lot of useful information, and it has helped me in finding a job. Now, I can't say that I used the information that I was supplied with to get a job at the airport.  I work at the hospital.   The information that they supplied me with helped me to land a job that pays well.  One day, I just might use the information and help to find a job in the airline industry.
