American Classics, Inc. And Craig Wood Misrepresented and outright lied about the condition of a car I bought from them on e-bay. Conroe Texas
In Jan. 2008 I bought a car on e-bay from Craig Wood and American Classic Cars that was advertised as an excellent car with no rust and needing nothing to be driven and enjoyed.
To not go into all the details, unless anyone wants to know them, I finally had to hire a lawyer here in California to try to get some restituion. Although I compiled quite a file with photos, estimates for repairs, and statements my lawyer didn't think I would come close to the amount of money I was trying to recover.
To my surprise I received a letter from the lawyer recently with the copy of my judgement. I received a judgement against American Classics, Inc. and Craig Wood for $16,945. I was advised to contact a collection agency in Texas to enforce the judgement.
One of the collection agencies advised me to wait 30 days to hire them as American Classics, Inc. may file an appeal. I guess we will wait and see what happens in a few weeks.
I will post again when something more happens.
