American Entertainment Distributors Phones unanswered, website down, rumor FTC has shut them down. Rip-off! Hollywood Florida
I also purchased a DVD rental system from AED in June. I had been working with the locations department to secure a location, when suddenly the phones stopped being answered and the web site was down. That was two weeks ago (today's date being Oct 11).
Like everyone else, I have almost 40G invested in what looked like a really good opportunity. I spoke to five different people who had the DVD machine up and running for over 6 months, and were doing well. It is rumored that the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) shut them down for some reason. Amazing that AED wouldn't contact the people they owe a system (or money) to, to let them know what was happening. I am panicked to think I could lose all this money, and am hoping there will be some resolution/restitution at some point. If anyone out there has any updates, please post a report here.
