My boyfriend works out of state so we decided to go with the bluebird card for easily transferring money from him to me as he makes much more than me. All has been well. Suddenly last week my card was locked with no phone call, email, nothing. So I attempt to call them and sat on hold for well over an hour waiting to speak with someone from account protective services. I've done this every day since it's been locked and have yet to get through to someone. A good chunk of my money is on this card and I have no way to access it what so ever.

I contact American Express via email and they asked for my phone number to resolve the issue. I assumed someone would call me to figure it all out.

Nope, today, a week after my card was locked, I received an email with only a reason for the card being locked, unusual activity, and the same contact phone number I've been trying to get through to for a week.

I do not recommend this card to anyone. I have not used this card any differently than any other card, yet this is the first time I've ever had it locked for unusual use. And once it is locked, it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach somebody in account protective services. I've spent HOURS on the phone multiple times with no answer. 

Absolutely ridiculous.
