Just wanted to let you know that after 5 months of waiting I received my flooring today! It is beautiful! It is the brazilian cherry and the flooring seems to be of good quality. Delivery did not go without the drama that so frequently reminds you that you are dealing with AHF! The delivery company was fabulous! Only wish AHF would take some business etiquite from those folks. The delivery company called me to tell me the flooring would be delivered the next day and gave the time frame. They stated they would call if the driver was delayed so my men would not be waiting endlessly for them. He was true to his word. He called the following morning to tell me that the flooring had been detained at the Canadian border because AHF did not have the proper paperwork on the flooring. He stated that they AHF representative and the customs officer were working on it and he would notify me as soon as he had word it had been released. He called again about 12:30 to tell me it had been cleared and was en route to me and would be here today and gave me the time it would arrive. Shortly thereafter I received an urgent fax from AHF stating that my flooring was being detained in customs and if I did not send them a letter stating that I was aware that the flooring was from China and that it was for personal use and not for resale they would not release the flooring. I would not sign any such document because I did not know the flooring was from China! It was soppose to be milled and shipped from Canada! I guess they tell so many lies they think everyone is a liar! Well they are wrong about me! I knew the flooring had already cleard customs and was en route to me so I ignored their repeated requests by fax and email all day yesterday and today. I did some research thru customs and found out that they are trying to avoid some kind of Duty tax and they need me to lie to do that. Well AHF I am an honest American and I will not do that! Also you may wish to know that the flooring came with an invoice that showed the actual cost of the flooring was $4752.00 I paid $7549.80 for it! Not bad that they get such a profit and keep the flooring for 5 months. The flooring is beautiful and I am glad it is finally here so I can continue construction on my home but I would not advise anyone to order from AHF. The worry that It will not come and the rude folks there do not make it worth it. I would have paid double my cost to not have to endure that again. But a big thank you to the great folks at the delivery company for their fabulous customer service and promptness! Great folks from Montreal!

I just went through exactly what other consumers have been treated by American Hardwood Flooring USA. They're just a bunch of scam. I wish I have read and known about these comments way before I 've decided to make a purchase from this company. There must be some kind of consumer protection or law out there to punish these kind of scamming companies.

I too have a similar problem with American Hardwood Flooring. Our wood was supposed to be delivered before Thanksgiving and they keep missing the date. Today, they emailed me and said that they may have wood in stock but it would "cost more" because of stocking costs. I think they are liars who have caused me too much grief already. Would appreciate any advice on taking legal action as I have given up on getting my wood.

In response to "Bruce's" rebuttal. I would like to know if anyone else finds it slightly suspicious that out of the 4 rebuttals that have come to the aid of American Hardwood From Rip-off report, 3 of them are from "Bruce" from the Mysterious shipping company? Read them here yourself. Bruce has responded to Lance in Conneticut, George in Washington, & myself. Boy "Bruce" must get around alot to deliver flooring to Conneticut, Washington, & Virginia. Wonder how he has time to get on line. "Bruce is not an actual person from the shipping company. He is another mysterious character in a game of cherades that American Hardwood Flooring is playing on us all. Those of you who have ordered from them know what I mean but for those of you who don't and are considering using this company take a moment to consider these facts. My status of my flooring order on American Hardwood's 24 hour shipping update states that my order will be shipped between christmas and new years. This is January 17th! That response was placed there on December 9th. How is that a shipping company would know the updated status of my order before the company that is shipping it would? How would "Bruce" know who I am exactly since Rip-off report keeps my information confidential and only lists me as Kathy from White Marsh? This is more suspicious to me since the address that the shipping company would have is not white marsh. I used my mailing address town for Rip-off reports and the actually flooring is being sent to another town! Bruce would not be able to identify me as the person writing this complaint based on the information that he would have as a employee of a shipping company. Bottom line folks. The flooring is not coming. I, like so many have been taken by this company and I dont want anyone else to go thru what I have. Please order your flooring somewhere else! To the person from the News Media. Please set up a forum on line so that the many vicims can contact you. We cannot contact you here. If you are from a major news media check your emails. You will find many complaits from your victims there. American Hardwood knows that you cannot forward direct contact emails to potential customers from this sight so they send these rebuttals to make us look like just angry customers not victims. All potential customers should call not write the NWFA and speak with Bonnie. Contact the BBB in Georgia, California, & Portland Oregon. Phone numbers can be found by searching these sites on line. After hearing our stories on Rip-off Report and contacting these agencies I think you will agree that your Local flooring companies prices are not so bad after all! Kathy
