My story 's just as same as everyone else 'paid in full' and 'no woods come' so there's no need to repeat this. We all have made the same mistake. Still couldn't move into my place, because there's no woods for almost my whole entire house. yesterday, I just called my credit card company and found out that they did not charge the small portion they claim they can only charge up to $250, and the rest of course in personal check was debited from my account by the following day. Don't you raise a question? in order for the transaction to be completed, aren't they supposed to charge the rest to my credit card?

I called, emailed, live chat many many times. There was no response. And finally I got an email from shipping department [there was a story behind it in order them to send an email to me] asked me what do I want them to do? Im like huh? they ask what do I want them to do? after going back and forth.

They said the same thing as to Nancy in Philadelphia " Sounds like you ordered a manufactured product. They have to dry the

wood,mill it, and then ship it in. You ordered incorrectly,and it looks like you need to exchange to a "in stock" item.

I don't want anything else, because if I do, I 've already order from somewhere else [and stay out of this scam].

I called NWFA many times and left messages for Bonnie, and have never heard anything from her ever since mid December.

Sebastians and Melissa, please, please tell us what can we do to get our money back? Im willing to waste as much of my busy time to do whatever it takes to get my money back. My house project has already gone wait behind the scheduled. I've had sleepless nites, not knowing whether I will ever get my woods [to move in] or my money back. Don't know what Im suppose to do now in order for us to move in. It's ruined my normal life.

My biggest lesson from this experience is never ever dealing with a company who do not take credit card as a payment and have no physical address or whatsover.

If you have already filed complaints with FTC. Then you have done the right thing. Otherwise, please file your complaint with Federal Trade Commission. I was told that if there are numerous of complaints against AFH. FTC will go after them. Here are the sites that everyone should file your complaints to: 1. Department: Mail Order Action Direct Marketing Association 1111 19th Street N.W., Suite 1100 Washington DC 20236 [note: you can only contact them via mail, Please send your mail with a very detail about your transaction with AFH] Don't give up!

I too have been taken by this company and am trying to find some help to get my money back. American Hardwood also tried to "bait" me by saying that I could get something sooner if I order something "in-stock" -- with the caveat that it would cost more to pay for stocking fee or just "wait for my beautiful wood." This is after months of waiting!! I have contacted the editor of this site and hope to be able to contact others in a sililar situation soon. If you do the same - pls. include me too! Other victims - pls. post details on how you were able to get your refund. Thank You!
