Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
O where to start... I have had AHS for 10 years as my warranty company. I am appalled at the shady dealings that I have been a victim of over the last year! My stove last year took 4 months to fix. They NEVER followed up! I had to call them 1-2 times a week until it was fixed.

My air conditioner broke last summer. After a month of dealings in the middle of a Florida summer, they said they wouldn't cover it because it wasn't maintained. Bull - it was just OLD!$4500 out of my pocket.

3 months ago, my washer broke. It is still broken. Again - shady business! The guy said it needed a motor, replaced the motor (took WEEKS!). When I ran the washer, it leaked water all over my garage. I called back to AHS. They said he would be back. He came back and said it was shot. $346 in repairs needed. AHS said they would put that toward the purchase of a new one. I shopped around, and a comparable one would be around $900! No way! I told them to fix it - I wasn't paying the difference out of MY pocket! The guy has never come back. I call AHS 3 x a week on average, spend HOURS of time I don't have trying to get this resolved. I have spent hundreds $$$ on the original repair and $20 a week since in laundry mats. Still no results. They had a rental machine sent out, and it leaked all over my garage. Obviously, it wasn't the washer that was broke - their shady repair guy lied! When they looked, there were no washers in the hoses. I HAD washers before he came out - why would he do that?? Just take them out?? And when it leaked, wouldn't he realize that's what was wrong?? AND the plumber they sent said that it was also leaking because 'someone' overtightened the valves using a wrench or something, and cracked the valves and now they have to be replaced, but it is not covered by AHS. Are you KIDDING ME??

And so now I have 2 washers in my garage... my broke on that is blocking the way for my dog to get out to his doggie yard to potty when I'm at work, and a rental that leaks. (Oh - and ever since the plumber came, my ice maker to the frig doesn't seem to be getting water to it - must have turned something off? But the ice maker is not a covered item...)

So - 2 weeks ago, my stove broke (the one replaced last year...). Guess who they were going to send out? Yeah - the washer guy. I told them no. The man from Sears said that it was wired wrong when it was installed. Again who sent the installer? AHS.

Well, this is not my month. Today, my frig stopped cooling. I have a frig full of food going bad. They can have someone here by Wednesday. Funny.

I told them that this is an emergency - please respond accordingly. So they told me they would try to find emergency technician, call back in 2 hours. OK - I did - said they can't find anyone. Call back in 2 hours. I asked them if they replace my food when I have to throw it all away. No. Of course not. What WAS I thinking?? Even if it was in the contract, they'd find a way out of it! So - I can get someone out here myself, and they MAY reimburse me - possibly -- if I meet all of their requirements (and a few that are probably held til the last minute so that they can deny).

Here I sit - broken appliances all over the place, but - all is well! I am covered by a warranty!

sigh.......

IF we could ever get this cleared up, I would cancel the policy! Just what am I paying for anyway? I thought it was to reduce the stress and have some assurance. Biggest joke! More stress this way. I'm a single Mom - a widow - THIS is stress and expense I DON'T NEED!
