Dave, obviously you have never been a victim of this moving scam. It is a complete insult to say the victim is looking for something for nothing, as this is nowhere NEAR the truth. These scam movers will not deliver the goods unless the entire bill is pad, and they can demand an arbitrary amount before the load will be delivered. Even if the victim offered to pay the $2000 she had, she would ahve to pay the rest demanded before ever seeing her goods again. This situation is called a "hostage load", and that's exactly what it is, much like someone would ask a person to babysit their kid, and the sitter then demands a ransom for the child's return. This has become a serious issue in America in the past ten years, and the government is finally getting around to huge fines, and civil and criminal penalties for the people who do this on a daily basis, but it is not happening quickly enough. Why don't you type "American Moving Network" in quotes into a search engine and see what kinds of stories pop up. I can guarantee, from being a victim myself, that the stories you read will astound and anger you. Ignorant people like you blaming the customers only victimizes them a second time.

Read what she has said, she has been jumping back and forth from Indiana to Oregon to Califorina and other places. The Government said they paid her, she spent it on traveling and who knows what else. Had she shown any good faith she would have made at least a partial payment. I doubt that the moving company is guilt free, but if all they did was rip people off, their business would never survive. Auctioning off used stuff is no money maker, you can't count on people to not pay and then sell their stuff. It makes no sense to load up a moving van, pay your help, deal with lawyers etc just so you can sit on property for 3months before you can legally sell it off. Make sense people, we have become the land of victims. Everyone looking to get something for nothing.

And what a surprise to see the editor respond. And what a nice surprise, good for you! I've done a bit of 'due diligence' on Derek - and I wonder if he ever returned this woman's possessions? If not the AG may want to know about it.

To respond to the fact that this cust. saying we are asking her to pay addtional fees than what was quoted to her is again untrue. Her bill as it stands now is for the same amount that we quoted her which is $2765.13. We did charge this cust. an addtional $750.00 for storage cost since she refused to pay the cost of her move.We have since drop that charge and gave her storage for free so it would make it easier on her.As far as taking advantage of people or scaming victims of violence that is a lie we do not target victims. We are not in business to take advantage of people, but we are also not in business to do the moves for people free.

Hey Derek, what an appropriate name..
Rather than attacking your victim why don't you address the charges. You went after this one but what about all the other victims on this website alone. Why didn't you address those.
What about the charges that you illegally hold property as ransom for fraudulent price modifications. What about the targeting of victims of violent crimes. What's up with that. Oh, and make sure you stick to the issue. If you make an argument, you better know we are going to be all over any fallacies.

In regards to mrs. north's complaint, let me start
by saying that it is all untrue. The real deal is
we did everything to help this cust.t his women could not afford to pay for the move, so mike moore assisted mrs.
Rosealie North in getting the money to pay for the move from the D.A in her city.after a couple of weeks the D.A sent mrs.Rosalie North a check to pay for the move.
But instead of using the money to pay for the move she spent it on other things, when it came to paying for the move again she ask mike to assist her once again for the money. Mike agreed, but when he called the D.A they said that Mrs. Rosalie North took the first check and disappeared and they will not assist her any longer.
WE fell that if the belongings were that important to her she would have paid the money instead of spending it. As far as trying to rip her off by increasing her bill the only charges she as is the cost of the move (NO EXTRA CHARGES WERE ADDED EXCEPT FOR STORAGE,SINCE SHE ISN'T PAYING HER BILL WHICH WE ARE WILLING TO DROP IF SHE WOULD JUST PAY THE BILL) Mrs. Rosealie North want us to move her free.
To this day she has not payed even $1.00 for her move if she wants her belongings and we want to give them to her.All she has to do is call us (without hanging up everytime, and work with us on paying the bill we would be happy to give them to her. WE DON'T WANT THEM
