Complaint Review: American Publishing Company - Bloonington Minnesota

    This company called me last week. If memory seves was June 13,2013. Stating theis great deal for magazines and sayiny it come with a &250 voucher to be used at any retailors of my shoice. The magazine deal was good because my fiance is in prison and I'm disabled with ssi.ssa income.

      Trying to keep him reading and getting anything in the mail takes a toll on me. I told them this. Gave his address and they took the payment asap.

      We hung up ,Ichecked my bank account online and realized I wouldn't make it the month. They had said if any promlems in paying they'll work with me. I called right back and was told the money would be back in account in 24 hours. It was! We agreed on the 3rd of July, for a payment .

       When later I remembered I had car smog, ticket, registration in July. Called andsais , sorr, I was a bother good deal but will call them when feasable for me. That was okay with them!

       Monday, June 17,2013, I receive mail from American Publihing Company and  the vouvher is a' buy something and send them the receipts from a pre-selected store also send a self addressed envelope wwith each receipt plus no vouvher to even send iv until you cur off the bottom of their terms and conditions ,which is a $250 Rebate Registration form. his the good part for the voucher "To redeem your vouchers , you must make a minimum monthly purchase of $100 at the pre-selected store and send receipts with voucher. The maximum rebate value per month is $25. No future credit will be issued or accrue" "Only oe Rebate Vouchermailed in per 30 day period will be honored." They go on to say if you send more than one they will not be acknowledged nor returned.

      Right now, Ive called each day Monday June 17, Tuesday June 18, today Wednesday June 19 2013 continuosly and keep geting told agents are busy ,then piano music, then leave message we will get back to you, then that mail box is full and it hangs up.

       This is the best part of these theives, they took money from my bank acct for something that I have no idea what it is. I remeber a lady saying why don't I do a trial period on something. I declined!! I said , " I don't do trial periods for things because I forget about them and then the triel ends and I have to fight to get my money back! I absolutly and emphatically said 'no' to any trial thing! Yet, the money 's gone and I can't pay my gas & lights,nor buy my service dog, any food and he's out. No gas in my car ofr food for my cats or me. No foodstaps, because in CA if you have SSI/SSA you are not allowed aven though you make a few hundred less than the federal poverty level.

      I was duped, I get that. But now my animals will be paying the price.  You don't hurt my animals as they are my family and can't take care of their selves.

       This company needs to have fraud charges brought against them and closed down!!!!! I've ckecked different place on line and see they are a very fraudulent company!
