On March 17, I went into the internet looking for health and medical insurance. Something that was affordable and within my budget. On Sunday, March 18, I received a phone call from a man who identified himself as Thomas Corrello. He said the company's name was Medical Benefits Program Platimum Choice RX for Individuals. He began to tell me about the benefits they had to offer. He said it was a 45 risk free plan which would be refundable if not satisfied, deal with pre-existing conditions, no contracts to sign and a month to month payment plan, $139.00 a month, $135.00 enrollment. I told him it sounded too good to be true and he said that is why they offered the free trial offer. I agreed to buy the plan, gave him my information and he said I would be contacted on Monday. No one ever called so I began calling. I Never got anyone at the number he gave me. I made several calls to that number and every extension it gave me and told them I knew they were a ripoff company and that I had already called my bank and contacted the proper authorities and that they had better think twice before they try to get money from me. The recording that on their phone identified the company as American Savers Plans. I attempted to pull it up on the computer and found it to be a rip off company. There was not even a listing for the name he had given me on Sunday. There was a report from a Joan from Saint Paris, Ohio where they had taken two payments from her bank. I immediately called my bank and was told that no withdrawals had been made from my account. To be on the safe side, I put a stop payment on the transaction just in case they tried to get the money from my account. I then called the bogus company again and said " don't even try to withdraw money from my bank because you've been reported.
