Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been scammed by two different marketing companies who claimed they would sell my timeshare. I was contacted last week by a rep (Ryan Garnet) from another company which got my information off of one of the scam companies (IBD Marketing). I was told that IBD wasn't licensed in FL and that if I went with their company their attorney would send a letter in order to get me a refund. I was told that 300 Canadian and Europeans were coming to a FL convention center and that my timeshare would be sold. The potential buyers were people who took advantage of "free" 2 or 3 day resort vacations. I was told that when they show up they hard sell them into buying a timeshare. I was in the process of donating my timeshare just to get rid of it, but this offer sounded pretty good. I called the organization handling the donation and had it stopped.

I was then called this week by another person from this company named Michael. Michael seemed very confused and was having trouble speaking. He said he was sick and on medication which dried his mouth. He went on to say he was on psychotropic drugs for his illness. He offered up way too much info. I requested that a list of references be faxed to me. I did receive a fax which include the info that I had already read on their website, copies of the teaser ads they place use in magazines and newspapers, two letters of recommendation with NO contact information, and a contract to sign.

Michael has called my house at least 10 times in the last two days. Sometimes he hangs up and sometimes he leaves strange messages with incorrect information.

I decided to do more research this time and luckily came across the other posts about this company. I was having trouble finding info because apparently they have changed their name from Prestige Timeshare Marketing to American Timeshare Marketing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to those who reported this company. I know it saved me money and I'm sure it saved a lot of others too.
