Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
American Web Tech calls me and gives a fast sales pitch to promote my own domaine online with selling prescription drugs and other affiliate stores in connection with them. After collecting my $195 for these services they contact me with Summer Ventures to get the business up and running. They promise to advertise for me through Google, Yahoo and MSN and promise that thousands of visitors will go to my website as they are advertising for me with these search engines and banners, etc; all of this and more for a nominal fee of $10,000. They will do all the work for me, I just have to sit back and collect the big bucks to pay back my investment. After the fact, now that my "TEMPORARY INSANITY" has left me, I have done research online only to find at least 44 other RIP OFF REPORTS by other consumers with these companies. Unfortunately my credit card company cannot do anything about dispute/fraudulent charges till after they are posted--BUMMER!! Another thing I'm finding in the contract I DIDN'T READ BUT SIGNED, is I cannot revoke these charges or dispute them, if I do they charge me $5,000 as damages. Apparently another consumer contacted his lawyer and doesn't sound like he made any progress. He also got stuck for the $10,000 and made $0.00 for his investment.

I INTEND TO FIGHT THIS WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION IF APPLICABLE, ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND ANYONE-ELSE I CAN TO SEE THESE COMPANIES SHUT DOWN AND NOT TAKE ANOTHER DIME FROM UNSUSPECTING INDIVIDUALS LIKE ME.

American Web Tech/Summer Ventures Scam

August 2009 was a year since my scam with these companies and I lost $10,000. Luckily the Merchant Services saw through the deception of these companies and  $5,160 was reversed to my credit card company leaving me with still $4,500 for fraudulent charges.

The Attorney General's Offices in MN and AZ have all the proof they need that these companies have broken state/federal laws but still do not prosecute them as there aren't enough victims filing legal reports.  We, the victims have no money to attain attorneys so once again, we lose. I refused to pay Discover Card for fraudulent charges for this scam, therefore, my account was finally closed and written off with a report to the Credit Bureau as BAD DEBT for the next 7 years.

I've recently started a CAUSE called the SCAM BUSTERS UNITED on FACE BOOK and have 20 members. Check it out.  Also, I have made a blog online regarding these companies that are ripping people off for thousands of dollars. Check it out on: http://www.vosv.blogspot.com.

Summer Ventures had a statement online I found boasting of their estimated profits per year for their so-called "graphic websites", they are grossing $2,700,000.00 scamming victims across the US.

I think it is outrageous, the federal agencies can't or won't help, our congress lets credit card companies get away with these charges and we keep on losing with no one to help us--------THE VICTIMS OF SCAM!

Update on Summer Ventures---American Web Tech

Since I was scammed back in August 2008 I've talked with many federal agencies, etc., and I've come to find out from the Attorney General's office that all of us out there who were taken in by Web Tech and Summer Ventures can be held responsible for SELLING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ONLINE WITHOUT A LICENSE---AND GO TO JAIL!!! Now, you ask, could this get any worse? They already took us for our $$$ thousands $$$ and now they can PROSECUTE US FOR DOING WHAT, BEING A VICTIM?? I guess someone would have to FIND OUR WEBSITES FIRST in order to purchase the drugs.... isn't that a joke!! Oh yeah!! The so-called advertising we got stuck for is a joke. We paid thousands of dollars to advertise and promote our site through Summer Ventures and actually if we were to go online ourselves and advertise, it would have cost us only a $5 activation fee through Google and as little as $1 to get your ads as many clicks as possible without ever exceeding that daily or monthly budget you can set up with them. Also, the top positions we were promised is another joke!! GOOGLE quotes: "The listing we want in top position is in the Sponsored Links section above Google's search results page. To clarify, these are AdWords that have been given this top placement as an added bonus because they are top performing ads whose Quality Scores exceed a certain threshold. Quality Score is our measure for relevancy that includes the performance history of your ads and keywords, because if people search your keyword and click on your ad, they are finding your ad to be relevant to what they're looking for, and we want to reward that relevancy.Quality Score also includes other relevancy factors, like the quality of your website and the clarity of your ad text. It doesn't cost anything extra to appear in those top positions and there is no way to request those positions for your ads". All the AdWords, banners, meta tags, etc. that Summer Ventures took us thousands of dollars for is a joke which is indeed A BREACH OF CONTRACT!! WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO TURN AROUND AND SUE THEM!! I haven't given up my battle with Summer Ventures and my credit card company for the FRAUDULENT CHARGES OF $10,000 after 5 months. I now have the Attorney General once again investigating as well as an investigative team from Channel 12 news in Phoenix. I'm hoping and praying, some day soon, American Web Tech and Summer Ventures will be SHUT DOWN, IMPRISONED, and paying back all their VICTIMS!!

Summer Ventures and American Web Tech---Consumer Fraud

For anyone out there who has been ripped off by Summer Ventures or American Web Tech or any company, it is vital that you file a report with the law enforcement agencies. The only way to stop these crooks is with enough complaints filed by one and all then the agencies like the FBI, FEDERAL TRADE, ATTORNEY GENERAL, ETC. will have a case. Individuals don't stand a chance unless they have lost at least $50 thousand or under $7,500 to take it to small claims court. I know this as I'm a victim and lost nearly $10,000 to these companies. I've contacted all the agencies, attorneys, etc. only to end up with dead-ends. Even our wonderful congressmen won't help the little guy. As a team, massive groups we can conquer. Go for it, you have nothing more to lose, you already were taken for how many thousands? Sure wish we had a way to contact one another for a class action suit but emails, phone numbers, etc are not permitted. We sure are getting screwed!! Mary M.

For all you VICTIMS OF SCAM dealing with AMERICAN WEB TECH and SUMMER VENTURES, listen up!! In order to possibly prosecute these criminals, make them pay restitution and put them behind bars where they belong, we all need to file complaint reports to the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION, ATTORNEY GENERAL IN ARIZONA AND YOUR STATE, and F.B.I. You can easily find these agencies online or contact the yellow pages in the telephone book. I've found out with all my research that some of these agencies will not handle individual consumer complaints (Federal Trade Commission) or like the Attorney General have limited legal authority and no jurisdiction to provide legal advice to private citizens. I've also contacted at least 3 attorneys in my area and they cannot prosecute as they are not licensed in my state and the state of AZ where these criminals reside, or they are afraid to prosecute as it would cost tens of thousands of dollars and they are afraid these companies are a "fly-by-night" outfit; and that they will flee once they have been served with criminal charges. There is a possibility of starting a class-action law suit against these companies and I hope to get one going. My only problem is I'm not able to contact anyone on this website due to privacy issues and I cannot list my email address or phone number. Our hands are tied but NOT THE AUTHORITIES!! One other possibility to bring attention to these scumbags is the following. Contact these Arizona television stations that deal with consumer fraud such as the following: Call 12 for action at (602)-260-1212; or you can email Channel 5's Investigative team at [email protected] or Channel 15's Investigators at [email protected]. I certainly hope this helps any and all of us who have been taken in by these scumbags. All we wanted was to work from home with our own online business and make a small income to manage. Look what they have done to us, taken thousands of our dollars and are still getting away with it all across the nation since 2004 since they started their business. None of us who have been "smooth-talked" into this mess, have legal backgrounds or understand the contracts they provided, let alone read it before signing, EXCUSE US FOR BEING IGNORANT OF SUCH DEALINGS!! I've been working with the Arizona Attorney General's office and MN since I lost my $10,000 to these scum-balls back in August '08. I've fought with my credit card company (Discover Card) to dispute charges. I've contacted the Federal Trade Commission, Internet Crime Center and even a local attorney, only to come up with dead-ends each time. Apparently the only way to fight these guys is in court with a lawyer that can practice in both states, (in my case it would be MN and AZ),but that's not as easy as it sounds as they also have to specialize in consumer protection fraud. Contracts are made to be broken and can be fought in court, just find the right attorney. What these companies are doing is indeed A SCAM AND VERY FRAUDULENT, AND ALSO DISCOVER CARD CO. IS A JERK FOR NOT HONORING MY WISHES AND HELPING ME FIGHT THIS NIGHTMARE. For any of you people out there in Arizona, listen up! I have information for you to maybe get these scumbags. FIGHT BACK!! CONTACT THE F.B.I. AND YOUR LOCAL ATTORNEY GENERAL AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES, POST COMPLAINTS AGAINST THESE GUYS. Keep records of every thing, make tape recordings if need be-----be very thorough. IF ENOUGH PEOPLE DO THIS, MAYBE WE CAN GET SOMEWHERE, ESPECIALLY OUR MONEY BACK, MAYBE!!! If doesn't work, try the television stations listed below. GOOD LUCK!! Listed below are some television stations that deal with consumer fraud. CALL 12 FOR ACTION at(602)260-1212; or you can email Channel 5's Investigative team at [email protected] or CHANNEL 15's INVESTIGATORS AT INVESTIGATORS (at) abc15.com. I'd like to start a CLASS ACTION LAW-SUIT AGAINST THESE COMPANIES AND GET MY MONEY BACK PLUS MORE FOR ALL THE MENTAL GRIEF. ANYONE INTERESTED CONTACT ME. EMAIL ME WITH "CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT" IN THE SUBJECT LINE AT (((ROR redacted))) THANKS. Mary M.
