I know how you feel during my wifes bankruptcy I continued to make payments on our jeep. We were never contacted by Americredit and neither was our bankruptcy Attorney. They just showed up one evening and drove off with the jeep belongings and all. Donna Mcclain who represents Americredit misled us and made several sarcastic remarks telling my wife maybe she shouldn't have filed bankruptcy. She tried to claim we were three payments behind. We proved her wrong! we were only one payment behind due to my fathers death. Americredit stated if we called back in May of 2003 we could receive an extension. Bull!! they then harassed us with repeated calls to our jobs and home. Currently we have made all but that May payment and we offered to pay that. Instead Donna Mcclain insisted we violated the terms of the contract and would have to come up with $11,000. The predators then sent a letter three days after our last conversation and stated they would auction the vehicle and dispose of our property. Our vehicle is two hrs away and we have no reliable transportation to get our belongings. I have contacted the Attorney General and the Commerce commission. I am also palnning on suing Americredit for harassment and threats along with violations regarding the bankruptcy laws which our Attorney is also investigating other allegations aaginst Americredit. They lie when they claim they will work with you. They will steal your vehicle from you and don't believe some of the bull put out their by their employees or persons connected to Americredit or any other predatory finance companies. They don't lose a dam bit of money when they have to repossess It is disgusting what they are doing to you. I now have to pay $50.00 and $10.00 a day everyday after, if I want my belongings. I sure hope its worth it to them when we end up in court! I tried to reason with them but look what happens, they mistake kindness for weakness!
