Ameriquest Mortgage deceiptful, heartless company that doesn't care Orange California
The first time I refinanced with Ameriquest I can't really say I had too many problems. Or maybe I was so desperate to get away from Upland I would do anything. Ameriquest contacted me in December about refinancing my loan with them to get some cash out and bring down my rate. I should have never done it. Things were going fine until April.
Unfortunatelly because of my own stupidity the check bounced. Well by the time I found out it was May. Well they weren't going to accept just one payment, no, they now had to have both payment because I was a new customer. Wait a minute, new, I had been with them for way over a year all I did was refinance. Well I didn't have both payment's immediately. Their suggestion was to do the check by phone for a certain date. I explained when the money would be there.
Well they said it took 5 - 7 days to post. The payment posted the same day, but the money wasn't there. That just caused my account to spiral downward. Every time I tried to talk to them and get them to let me do one payment and then another one in two week they wouldn't help. Now I'm in august.
I continue to call and try to get them to work with me. First I'm told I have to have extra income, but when I tell them that they told me I had extra income, then the tune changes and it's because they think I have extra money that I'm not eligble for help! Well I can't come up with 6,000 by 8/20. So if I have to file CH 13 then that's what I will do. I'm about to call them again and speak with the supervisor (Jerome) in the retention dept. I really don't think begging will work because I've already tried that along with crying but their heartless people. They actually had the nerve to yell at me. All I have to say is I'm not letting them take my house.
