I purchase a copy of Adobe Photoshop from Amerisoftware for $74.99 in May of 2004 using an American Express card. The first attempt at a download and installation was not successful. After contacting Clayton (James) Baxter about the problem, he instructed me to do another download. This was also not successful. He then stopped returning my calls. I wrote the experience (and wasted money) to bad luck.

Then in August of this year I found another charge to my American Express card for $74.99 from Amerisoftware. I did not purchase any more software from this crooked outfit. I tried to contact Baxter for a week with multiple phone calls and emails to resolve this billing but have not heard as much as a peep from Amerisoftware. I am contesting the second charge through American Express and hope they have better luck reaching Amerisoftware than I have.

Amerisoftware sells defective and/or useless products, practices deceptive cusomer service and are crooks when it comes to billing preceedures. Stay as far away from them as possible.
