Amex Movers handled our move from Moreno Valley, CA to Redlands, CA on February 3, 2007. They fabricated the amount of packing materials used and the distances in order to charge us more money.

They also held our belongings on the truck and refused to work or unload until we had paid them the increased amount. After arguing, we finally paid them. They unloaded our belongings. HOwever, they left them outside of our apartment for us to carry up the stairs. I am pregnant and not able to lift or carry any boxes or furniture.

After unloading, they just left. They did not give us time to inspect our damaged furniture in front of them. The movers also had my husband sign the contract/receipt at the beginning of the move before the price information was written on it.

On February 5, 2007 we spoke to the owner of the company, Deividas Dranseika. He said he would get the other side of the story and get back with us. He also said he was willing to work with us. He never called back. We tried all week and he was always 'unavailable.'

On February 13, 2007 we sent a certified letter to the company detailing all of our problems. We asked for a partial refund for all the extra costs. We also asked for a representative to come out and inspect our damaged furniture for settlement. The owner has not made contact with us at all regarding our letter. He received the letter on February 21, 2007.

I do have a copy of the letter if you would like more detail of their fabrication.
