AMG - American Marketing Group Timeshare Sale RIPOFF Palm Beach Gardens Florida
Early April 2009 I was contacted by AMG and was told they have a buyer for my timeshare WITH a non refundable deposit. I told the person who called, I have my property listed elsewhere and I was told no problem, when this timeshare is sold you can get you money back from the other company. Then he went through the whole sales pitch, You will receive a check within 60 days and then you send the bill of sale to the other company for a refund. I asked why 60 days and I was told legal research, closing etc. I was also told, if the property sale did not go through within the 60 days, for some reason, I would receive a refund of my $1,298.00. What gets me, the money was my vacation funds and I trusted the company. Now I am out the funds and my vacation. Thank AMG you for the nonsale of my timeshare. I will gladly accept a return of the funds paid and keep the timeshare until someone want too sell it whom I can trust.
I personally think there should be some law that prevents this, but it appears to be a wide spread deception, and it continues. Do as I have done, contact BBB and The Florida Attorney General, all can be done online.
