Anchor used auto parts thinks stealing $20 from me is OK!? plaistow, New Hampshire
I asked the bossman at the junkyard if he had certain parts for my old 1997 car and he said he did and would have his guy take them off the junk car later that day. He wanted $20 downpayment so I gave him a twenty, on that Tuesday, and said I'd be there next morning for the parts.
I also said I only needed two of the rubber bushings, but he kept trying to tell me that there were 6 of them?! I insisted that I just need two and he quoted a total price of $75. I called the next morning and he didn't have them off the junk car yet,( which broke our agreement right there!), and I said I need them now. He said "call tomorrow and I'll have them. I called the next day and he still didn't have them ready!
I had my car tied-up over this and had to call another dealer to get the parts. I called up the idiot at the junk yard on Friday, which was 3 days, actually 4 days, after the agreed on time for him to give me the parts and He says to me,"I have two of them off now and I'll get the rest off later today". Again, I tried driving it through his mushy melon, that I ONLY NEED TWO!! So, I told him I couldn't wait any longer and I don't need him to get anything for me.
I said I'd be there in a bit to get my $20 and he threw a fit saying I'm not getting it back....blah-blah-blah... So, other than getting my butt put in jail by going there for the money, I'm out my $20!! He said nothing about any "non-refundable" deposit! Even if he did, he was the one who broke the terms of our verbal agreement! I know it's just $20, but I want that $20 in my pocket, not HIS! He's a punk crook and will get whats coming someday.
