Bought a brand new Quest Pontoon from Anderson one year ago. To start, they put the wrong size propeller on it, and we broke down on the Cumberland our way back from Nashville in the dark. Luckily we were able to be towed, but took 5 hours to get home. (LUCKILY the boat was under warranty and they had to replace the propeller, but offered nothing else to make up for their employees mistake.) Next, I had my boat serviced by them come November.
After letting them know I would be out of the state with family and not able to pick up my boat right away, they left it completely uncovered and abandoned in a lot the entire time. My brand new boat which I have never failed to cover, was uncovered during a few blizzards and rain storms and a tornado! When I went to pick it up, it was in horrible condition; full of leaves, mud, water, mold, ect.... No excuse for not covering after servicing knowing I wasn’t able to pick it up right away. Brand new boat, no longer looks brand new. They have no regard or respect for the property they sell to you once it’s yours.
The owner actually said in response to my complaint that it’s "not their responsibility to make sure my boat is covered.” Lastly, and worst of all, they returned my boat to me with 4 brand new huge dents to the exterior done by a fork lift or other boat. It was left with them last November in mint condition, and was returned to me, not only aged from not being covered for months, but with 4 new dents!!!! Ray Anderson insists that his employees checked my boat and didn’t see dents before dropping it off and refuses to take responsibility for the damage! He told me to have insurance pay for it and hung up on me when I spoke with him. Very professional.
I had heard things from fellow boaters in Hendersonville that have told me after buying their boat from Anderson, they would NEVER buy through them again. Now I see why. Do not buy from Anderson or get serviced by them!!! Worst experience I’ve ever had on one of the biggest purchases I’ve ever made!
