Annette Rivers showed up in Texas several months ago with her reported intention of "helping her brothers" purchase a home. They were told that she had access to numerous grants that would secure them a new/relatively new home with little or no down payments and minimal monthly mortgage payments.

The siblings were also told that their mortgage in the new homes would be paid for by Annette for the first six months. One sibling, who already owned a home, was assured that a developer from out of state had taken over his home, would update it and place on the market with no fees to him.

After several months of outright lies and coaxing the siblings to "max-out" all their credit cards and secure loans against their vehicles - - the truth came out - - the siblings had been ripped off for approximately $10,000, and they had no ownership in the new homes they had relocated to. The siblings were forced to move back to their old homes and for one of them, it was just in time: their home was 3 months behind on the mortgage and was scheduled for foreclosure.

Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing - they do walk among us!

We had a contract with Ms Rivers (a/k/a Annette Freman, a/k/a MBLS) for a cash sale of my home in Grand Prairie Texas. She asked to move in, prior to closing. Regretably, we allowed her to do so. On closing date, no funds were forthcoming. The contract was then modified as a Mortgage Sale. Ms Rivers failed to perform and in fact, never submitted the documentation to the loan officer. Being a Christian too, we decided to rent the property to Ms Rivers. To sum it all up, my family and I lost the deposit on the home we were building, became homeless ourselves, while Ms Rivers did not pay rent in full, issued NSF checks, etc. We finally went to court, got an eviction, and awarded back rent. Needless to say, we have never recovered any money. Throughout the whole ordeal, Ms Rivers made many promises, made grandiose plans, dropped names of a supposed famous Bishop in Virginia, used a mail drop as address, changed the locks in our house, refused our admission and contacted others to submit to us phony contracts for purchase. If Ms Rivers wishes to dispute any of these facts, we have several 3-ring binders full of correspondence, recorded voice mails and a court order to prove these comments to be true.

Please steer clear of what may be a Scam artist at work.

I have made a general rule of thumb as a person and a business NEVER to chance down lies but in this case I shall address the matter verbally and legally, be advised, slander. Untrue statements (false witness). Fact, I established an additional entity of my business and I am the caregiver for our mother in Texas. While there conducting business, and tending to our mother, I was made aware of present conditions and circumstances of my estranged brothers. One brother was a victim of a burn out earlier in the year, who was living in a very small aged efficiency. And another who was living with girl friend in her home she purchase which was located in a distressed area of town. Despite the estranged relationship with brothers (who are 10 years plus older than I) and there estranged relationship with our mother, I sought to bring the family to a position of reconciliation. The burn victim brother expressed his displeasure with his living condition and his inability to do make any type of positive change. Credit history (maxed out credit cards, low fico scores and income would prevent them from qualifying without my assistance and business back up). GRANTS WERE NEVER A PART OF THE EQUATION, my company provide grant services for non profit, I have never used a grant in any part of my business operation. As for there financial input, each brother placed less than 3,000.00, I placed over 5,000.00 for each. The title loan one brother took out was on a vehicle (I made a cash purchase for) and I paid the loan back for him. Each brother lived in the homes until the prepaid lease payment (made by me of my own money prior to there move in) had run out and it was time for them to make payments, at which time they abandon the homes with minor/major damages and without prior notice to me, which left me holding the bag of full responsibility. Beware of mixing family and business, let dead dogs lie.
