I also got ripped off by them. I never signed up in the first place.
About a week after I signed up I recieved a welcome letter from them I then called and cancelled or so I thought. They said it was cancelled.
About 1 month or two from the time I signed up for AOL internet service I received a notice from my bank that the membership dues had been attempted to be taken out. My bank returned it for insufficient funds. I got charged $20 for the returned draft.
I again called to cancel the program the first woman I talked to tried sending me out a credit report. I told her no I just want this thing cancelled and she hung up on me. I immediately called back and talked to some other guy and he told me that according to the computer it had been cancelled.
About a week went by and I recieved another notice from my bank that they again tried to take it out. This time my bank paid it and just charged me $20 for it. I ended up haveing two more checks come back that I would have had sufficient funds for, but beings AOLCA took out it I didn't have it.
That week I called again and finally did get it cancelled I have recieved my membership dues back. I am still out the $80 in overdraft fees because they lied to me and didn't cancel the program when I asked. I faxed them a copy of my bank statement showing the overdrafts. I found out today that they denied my request to be reimbursed for my overdraft fees that they cost me. I will never do business with them or AOL again.

I have never requested this service , It has show up on my credit card 2 times now. I want this charge of 79.99 taken off my capital one card immediately! Because of you trying to keep the charge on my card, you have messed my card up with all kinds of late charges. I want you to take me off now, reinburse my credit card company abd sebd ne ab e-mail that this has taken place. Hopefully, It is Done!!! My Aol waS CUT OFF 3/20/20 FOR WHICH i HAVE DOCUMENTATION.
