I'm on the phone with aol now I cancelled my aol in July they are billing my bank account. I'm fed up with them this is the 3rd time this year. This is the 3rd call tonight they are just passing me around like a basketball. I spoke with Jamie, then Alex, now on hold for over 15min. I called 1-888-265-8003 they tell me to hang up in call the same number for billing. What!

This is unreal. I will be calling my bank in the morning.

Joe, you're right. The five dollar charge to debit your account is crazy. All you have to do is switch your billing to your debit card and you'll save the five bucks a month. If you call them they'll confirm this. I used to work for AOL and it makes me sick how they can think up so many ways to scam their members.

I have been an AOL customer for about 3 years now and it has been okay. Not great but okay. No down time and few drops. I used their service about 10 years ago and it was expensive. They had some sort of plans like the cell phone companies where you got so many minutes and then had to pay thru the nose for extra. Something like 1.99 a minute. I used it for 4 months and then got a bill for around $200.00. I told them flat out I was not paying and droped them. They sent me a couple bils and I just refused to pay. Eventually they dropped it. Then years later when they wised up I rejoined and have been happy since. Only now they take an extra $5.00 out of my account every month cause I use my bank account. Like it costs them $5 to do a transfer. They are just getting richer at my expense. My advice to you is to use another service provider. After they pissed you off then anything else they do will have the same effect. earthlink is popular and they are serious about spam and popups. Joe. Me I am happy with AOL. And no I don't have a cell phone. They still do that minutes thing hoping to stick it to you and I threw mine phone in the garbage. Yep another $200 bill and so many drops and areas where I could use it. Suncom was the one. It seldom worked where it was supposed to and where I live had so many areas they didn't cover, it was like a quilt. Anyway most of the people calling me were calling when I didn't want to be called and also causing me trouble. Why pay for that?? Why? Joe.
