Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Have you ever tried to return an iTunes iPhone appliction minutes after you discover it malfunctions or doesn't work as advertised?  I have numerous times. Many of iTunes apps are pure junk.  No one apparently tests these before they sell them on iTunes.

Let me clue you in as to what you WILL experience if you find that n app doesn't work and you try to get a refund. You will need to search & find the correct customer support page fr iTunes. You will then proceed to Report A Problem. At that point you will most likely see the item you just purchased. The page insists that you insert the reason (manually) for the problem. For example: I inserted "Doesn't function as stated-advertised". You will as I did receive an immediate mesage,"This item cannot be refunded". Mind you this could be within 3 minutes after you opened the program and reported the issue. You could purchase an app and discover wthin seconds that it doesn't work. Upon your immediate reporting the issue toThe iTunes customer support page and requesting a refund, you will be automatically REFUSED with a message such as "This item cannot be refunded."

So, in fact, the next step is to contact Apple via phone, email or chat. The item I requested a refund for I called Apple support for assistance and was lectured as to Apple iTunes refund policy for over 5 minutes.

I wish I recorded it and would put it on a website;so others can know wht to expect with iPhone and iPad applications from Apple.

I was tired of listening to this disrespectful and insensitive rep so I asked to speak with a supervisor. He repeated the same BS as the first rep and reluctantly acknowledged that thi policy needs to be addressed as it is a pure waste of time for both customer and customer service staff. He suggested that I providefeedback or a complaint and I have done so.

I have lost respect for Apple due to this unfair refund policy. I suggest they consider Amazon - Kindle return policies (time allocations - fair limits for digital material refunds.

Thanks for the callous attitude towards me as a customer and the waste of precious time for me and themselves.

Let me guess, youre one of those consumers who doesnt like to read. Thats the ONLY reason I can think that you wouldnt know Apples return policy. Had you read the TOS you would have found there is NO REFUND on third party apps. The ONLY refund Apple will give is a credit on APPLE apps. Its a BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK market. But this is all information that you agreed to. Next time, READ THE TOS!!! It will save you a headache in the future. Im not saying Apple is perfect, im not a fanboy. But I WILL say that Apple is pretty straight forward in the wording the use in the TOS. Its long and boring but it gives you the information needed.

And really...why BUY what you can get for FREE. In almost 3 years I have NEVER paid for an app or a piece of music. My music is all stored on Itunes. And any app I need I can find for FREE.
