Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I have IEHP through Medi-Cal. I was given authorization from IEHP (from a letter) that I could call Apria Healthcare in October 2014 to get my CPAP Headgear and my Petite size nasal mask along with my clear frame I wear. When I got was a sized med, large and x-large and I got two of each size.  I had to jumpt through hoops just to get someone to listen to me since everyone there was saying "It's not my fault you got the wrong size" and then they said "We can't do anything., it's not our fault". I think I called them four times before someone took some responsiblity and got the information down of what size nasal mask I needed to fit my face.

Come to find out now in July 2015 I'm being billed for over $650 for these things. A CPAP mask (I use the WISP mask) is only $95 - $120 for the complete entire kit with the headgear, nasal pillows and frame included. This bill would be enough to cover 6 CPAP masks all at one time!   This bill leaves off information such as what product wasw ordered.  It only says under description "Insurance states no coverage".  It says "$362.70 and I have no idea what product came to that amount.  $88.02, what was that?   And $210.60, what was that? I had no clue since all it says is "Insurance states no coverage"

I called IEHP and they said I was covered and they can see that I had two authoriazations for this DME supply company. I drove to IEHP in Rachno Cucamonga yesterday and I gave them this bogus bill that I got in the mail (I made a copy of it). Now IEHP has this bill in their possetion. I was told from IEHP that I should have never been billed and that Apira should have submitted a form for IEHP for payment.  I called Apria and I was told 180 degrees different. I was told from a lady named Michelle Hyuett that she "tired" billing IEHP for my supplies and that IEHP wouldn't comply.  What a lie. Why would I get a bill 9 months later? And why would the due date be the day after I turn 40? Would wouldn't they just bill me 4 weeks later instread of waiting so long? What company waits 9 months to send out a bill?

Besides the bill is missing information, it says I have Phys Health Insurace and I don't. I have IEHP. Totally different insurance. I called the Speical Fraud investigation line of IEHP to let them know of what is going on.  I mean if this company Apria is charging me over $600 or one CPAP mask that is fraud.  They are changing IEHP of this and no insurance company is going to pay that much.  I of course was told it could take 30-45 days to complete. It is sad that this company Apria doesn't care about anyone but themselves.

I've read other reports that Apria is doing the same thing with others. I have mild sleep apnea, I used to get tired around 2pm and I used to have to take 30 min naps in the afternoon.  I'm losing weight off my body due to my increased energy level and eating less and the Bi-PaP machine that I got (got it from LifeCare Solutions) works so well. I can't believe this Apria Healthcare would take advantage of people that may be worse off than me and can't work due to having OSA. If you have sleep apnea, please inform your doctor (or nurse or insurance coordintors at the doctors office) to  ***not**** do business with Apria Healthcare. The nurses and insurance coordinators need to know that Apria HealthCare is not a professional business.  My only hope is that more doctors and nurses read these rip off reports so they can refer people out to real companies and do the right thing.
