This company as well as its many spin-offs seems to have not learned their lesson. For me it was Simple Escapes that somehow got my bank account (later I found AOL sold them it), which helped itself to it without my knowledge except for the fact my account was being charged $9.95 for whatever reason. I was able to reason with the people on the bill, which doesn't seem to be working in your case. I'd try talking to them again since it seems during your "unedited taped conversation they provided" there wasn't a mention of your billing account information. And tell them you have never given them that info and you prove it. If you have any idea of another company you may have given your account info to, maybe you could check if their info matches theirs. That way you would know who sold them your information. Your cell phone statement for that call should have the exact time length of that call, you can use that to prove the tape is edited just from the length of the version they gave you over the phone. If nothing else report this to your attorney general, which seems to be Richard Blumenthal.(http://www.cslib.org/attygenl/)
