Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I worked for the Arby's restaurant on Amber ave, and it is the worst business I have ever worked for. The working conditions are awful, they are open until 12 on weekends, but the heater turns off at 9:30 pm (very cold in the winter!)

The managers are just plain rude, at times even violent, also there is plenty of sexual harassment. Employees are made to do unsafe things without proper equipment, such as one other former employee who used to clean the fryers without fryer gloves. The owners refused to buy them for a long time, and said the blistering burns on his arms weren't that bad. The owners, Jennifer & Jeremy, do not care what happens at the restaurant as long as they make a penny.

I am surprised that people don't get sick off this food, as the food is almost never fresh, you know those little stickers that say when food expires? they just put a new sticker over old ones so you don't know you are getting old product.

The mayonaise sits in the same container all day, and grows a disgusting yellow skin, which we were told just to stir so people don't know, and the bottles for sauce are never washed, just refilled, day after day

Food falls on the floor and is reused, because the owners don't want waste.

And as for the rascist part, have you ever walked into an Arby's in stevens point and seen one employee that wasn't white? didn't think so. They get tons of applications from people of other races, yet they only call back whites for interviews...

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sun, August 26, 2007

I worked at Arby's in Stevens Point for several years, and I was shocked when I read the report claiming it was anything but a great place to work. The quality of the food and the solid customer base that the food attracts speaks for itself. There are several minority workers at the various Stevens Point locations, and while the number the lower than in other areas, it is because Stevens Point is a predominately white area of Wisconsin. As for my experience there, I never got frost bite from any lack of heating. What would the managers have to gain by giving the workers the flu? In my time working there, the managers were always professional and responsive to any issues that came up. They emphasized on cleanliness, and we never were told to serve food that was not freshly prepared. From what I can tell, the person who wrote the initial review is obviously a disgruntled employee, and the review needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I would caution whoever wrote this opinion that there is something called libel. You CAN get in trouble for typing and dispersing lies over the internet, you know.

First, I am a manager in Green Bay, Have you ever been to Stevens point? I can say having been their that the minority population in Stevens point is very low. Also You being a crew member would not have access to applications and i can easily say your claimed knowledge of racism is inaccurate. We here have a difficult time getting minorities to apply so i can speak from experience. I won't even address your other claims, The fryers and burns you claim should have been reported to the State of Wisconsin and/or OSHA if they occurred. The food claims you make are also up for debate. Did the Stevens Point Health Department never inspect your former restaurant? Did you ever report your employer considering your first hand info.? I would put one of my paychecks up your a disgruntled ex-employee with an axe to grind and internet access and anyone with food service knowledge especially with Arby's will be able to see right through your story. Their are to many holes and to top it off you post the attack and do not even provide an identity? good luck and anyone reading this should take the information with a grain of salt. Stevens point people go to the arby's and judge on your own.
