We contracted with Arlene Howard and her PR firm to help promote our company and companies products. When we met with her and her staff, she sold us on her connections and how she would get our product on TV including talk shows, news channels, and magazines. We signed a 6 month agreement with her at $10,000 per month.
After the first month nothing had happened. Her and her staff kept telling us they were working on getting us highlighted in the media and it takes time. I figured that would be the case. After the 2nd month, everytime we tried contacting her she was really difficult to get a hold of. We would not get calls back. We would only start hearing back from them towards the end of the month when their $10,000 payment was due.
By month 4, all she had done was gotten our product published in a no name magazine. None of her contacts went through. She did nothing at this point with the $40,000 we had paid her. She continued to want more money. We paid her because we had committed to the agreement. But at the end of 6 months we were left with nothing.
Shes definitely a great scammer and excellent liar. We were fooled by Arlene and her company. They did absolutely nothing in 6 months and she really doesnt have the "connections" in the industry she claims to have. If you are looking at hiring Arlene for Public Relations and advertising, etc I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. All you will do is spend a lot of money for nothing. Dont be scammed by her.

We want to go on record concerning anonymous and egregious comments made about our firm, AHPR Inc. three years ago that were designed to smear our reputation with a series of lies and complete fabrications in a single posting. We assume that the source of this defamation is a disgruntled client who, because of their bounced checks, we were forced to take legal action against. In fact, we won a court judgment for the full amount and a penalty of $1,000 a day against this former client after we attempted settlement for the uncollected obligations – an amount that has now risen to over $400,000!
Our efforts to remove this “review” were met with exorbitant demands for payments that we considered equally offensive. It is ransom -- an unjustice to think that a respected, long-standing business such as ours can be so easily maligned with little meaningful recourse.
