I purchased Armando "Flip and Grow Rich" book hoping that I would learn something about rehabbing houses, since I had watched his show before on t.v. I assumed that he must be the real thing because the networks had certainly researched him in order for him to be on t.v. Big Mistake.

Well I read over everthing and I thought I had gotten my monies worth so I was in the process of trying to follow his directions when I got a call to join his coaching program for $3,000.  I immediately told them I wouldn't be interested because I couldn't afford it.  Then about a week or two later I get another phone call stating that he had another program that they were interested in placing me in that was only $1,000.  The guy Steve Martin stated that they were interested in making me (and a few others) into a self made millionaire and using our success stories in any books or t.v. promotions that they might have going on.  So I immediately agreed and went about borrowing the money from my sister.

My sister sent me $2,000. of which I gave $1,000 to Armando and this guy Steve, who initially spoke to me, stated that I would have this money paid back on my first deal and that they had seven investors to back me.  I repeated this back to him "you mean if I find any properties to purchase Armando's company would buy the house?" Steve "yes"  Mr. Martin also went further and stated that the reason I needed to put up $1,000 was so that I had some monies invested in the deal so that I would work harder to be success.

Well, once I gave them the money I started the classes but to my surprise when I asked about the investors one of the coaches Timothy Bell stated plainly to me that Armando strictly forbides any of his coaches from investing with the students, that his lawyers have it in writing where they can't do that and he and anyone else would be fired if they did so.  I told Mr. Bell that that was exactly what Mr. Martin told me in order to sign up with the program.  I was then told to rewatch the funding teleconference which I did and to my surprise there were other students asking the same question about whether Armando would be funding our investments.

I tried to call back to the office but I only get either an answering machine or the phone never picks up.  I guess they leave me with no other choice than to contact the state and file a complaint.

Resolved Situation

We appreciate the honest feedback regarding the program. If in fact Mr. Martin made any of those claims, this would be absolutely unacceptable and not reflective of the program. Rather than being indicative of the program as a whole, this would represent one rogue individual who got off script and made claims completely outside of the scope of the program. The Armando coaching program has legitimately helped many hundreds of students over the years successfully flip homes. That being said, we stand behind what our employees say, and it is not fair to any student to have one thing promised and then taken away, and this particular situation was resolved with Alberta.

The Armando Montelongo Coaching Program is an educational vehicle. Rather than simply providing things (such as deals, loans, etc.) we teach people how to pursue and find these things themselves. The philosophy is rather than giving a man a fish, which ends at the conclusion of the program, it is rather to teach a man to fish, which empowers the individual for the rest of their life.
