Here is the fax I've sent to Aroura. It's the same MO - hours on hold, everyone telling me they'll handle it. Transfers all around the company. This company really, really sucks. They NEED to be sued. Surely there's a good hungry attorney out there that would love this one. Here's my letter:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am disputing several items concerning my loan with Aurora Loan Services.

The items are as follows:

The payment made out of my impound account: According to Carol in your customer service center, a check was mailed in the amount of 1,040.36 on November 5th, 2003 to Tax ID number XXXXXX. THIS IS THE WRONG TAX ID NUMBER, AND THE WRONG AMOUNT! The correct number is XXXXXXXX, for 843.74. This tax is delinquent on Dec 10th.

My impound balance of $105, according to the automated system: According to the originator of the loan, Home Loan Center.com (Doug, 800-942-3683 ext 3524), Home Loan Center transferred $1,300 in impounds for the benefit of my account to Aurora in October. Those funds were transferred by check #2278. According to your automated system, my impound balance is $105.

My payment amount of $1500+: My payment amount was established to be $1,340.63 when I obtained the loan. After making the payment, I received a collection letter from ALS stating that my account was in arrears by $200. THIS IS THE ONLY ALS CORRESPONDENCE I'VE RECEIVED FROM ALS.

I have spoken with Aurora Loan Services regarding these matters on the following dates:

11/29/03: Jennifer Said my November payment was in suspense, but she would have it released.

12/2/03: Jenny - Said that Jennifer is still working on releasing my payment from suspense.

12/2/03: Trisha Said that the impound account was miscalculated, and that my November payment would be OK as sent, but I would need to add 200 to my December payment, and my January payment would be lower.

12/3/03: Carol Stated that my November and December payments will be applied in the amount I sent$1,340.

12/3/03: Lori Transferred me to Betty

12/3/03: Betty Transferred me into the customer service queue, despite my pleadings to let me speak with someone who could help me. I remained on hold for 20 minutes.

12/3/03: Louise Was very helpful, and submitted a task for the tax payment changes to be made. She also assured me that my payment amounts would be straightened out, as well as my tax info, by December 12 2003.

I am requesting a written confirmation sent to my address of record that these problems are indeed being addressed, as well as a full accounting of payments received, and impound account balances and transactions, including reference tax ID numbers and account numbers.

Sincerely,

Shane
