Aspire Visa BOGUS Penalty fees, Horrible customer service, and telephone harrassment Atlanta Georgia
My card was sold from Providian (to whom I was making payments) to Aspire Visa. This horrific company has been harrassing me from day one. First, they did not transfer my agreement with Providian over correctly and billed me for over $400 in penalties. I contacted the Attorney General Office after the normal route of working it out with their "Customer Service" people did not work. I have never known such a rude group of people.
I have been paying on my account. Then in February, I received a statement where the balance due was zero. I called and managed to speak with someone who told me that I was paid until the following month. I sent a $40 payment and assumed I would be paying ahead on my next invoice. Then, when I received my next invoice I had $19.00 in penalties! I disputed the $19.00 and sent in the balance of the payment. I have received an ungodly number of telephone calls. They must have skip traced my cell phone number because I received a call on it this weekend. I told one gentleman that I wanted to speak to a supervisor - I was very adamant and he put me on hold. I finally had to hang up. I did not request a return call. However, I received a call an hour later from a very rude girl named Jane who advised me I was off the "zero percent financing" plan and would now receive penalties on my account. I asked her never to call my cell again because it is used for emergenicies.
Since that time, I have received 3-4 calls per day. They start with my home phone and progress from there to my cell phone. They call again in the same day whether they make contact with me or not. I have documented the date and time of each call. This is harrassment and illegal.
