Laptop RMA was issued for repairs of a unit that was barely out of warranty on a failed hard drive.  They agreed to repair it, issued a full RMA and gave us option to send us the part or send them the whole unit, so we opted to ship them the whole unit.  we confirmed RMA is for full repairs, and unit was shipped for $20 that we had to pay to get it to California.  it took ASUS over a week to acknowledge the unit had arrived even though it only took 4 days to arrive thru Fedex.  when they finally told us they have it in their "System" we asked when to expect the repairs, only to be told it will cost us $125 to repair it.  we told them they were supposed to cover the repairs per the RMA but they refused to acknowledge that and they said they had the unit and we have to pay.  so we refused to pay and asked for the unit to be shipped back to us so we can do our own repairs.  then we asked them to at least send us the part which they had promised to ship to us, but they also refused to honor that RMA.  so bottom line they are cheating, lying, and scamming POS company that do not stand behind their products or their RMA's, and they rather piss off a customer than pay a few buck to fix a unit that is less than a year old!  shame on them and the bad quality they are sending out, and i would naver buy nor recommend their POS brands to anyone, and neither should anyone else.
