Atlantic Circulation Inc Young man with a Golden Tongue tried to STEAL from a barely surviving, 70 year old man. York, Pennsylvania
A slick talking young man came to the door and immediately told me this was actually an exercise in overcoming his fear of public speaking. that should have set off an alarm in me as any politician on earth would envy his impressive skills. Exactly why i wrote the $64.00 check he carried off is not even remotely clear in my mind although he made it clear he and his side were in a contest against the girls and didn't i want the boys to win. When he questioned about my history and the San Francisco bay area came up, he volunteered he had also lived their but in another city. Going further, his father had been stationed in an Army base in a near by state to the one I had been stationed. However it wasn't until after i was alone and away from his charismatic contact that the whole experience gelled in my mind. I immediately Googled "Atlantic Circulation Inc." and found SIX PAGES OF COMPLAINTS centering around "FRAUD" and "SCAM". Since his visit was in the late afternoon, i was forced to spend a restless night before going to my bank the second it opened on the following day. Fortunately I arrived before the check and stopped payment. Still, there is an out-and-out crook, free to steal from others whose only fault is generosity and a desire to honestly help where they can.
