I was actually hoping this would be resolved 9 months ago, but sadly it seems that Atlas is up to its same antics.

Back story: I signed up for personal training sessions back in Nov. 2012. I specifically asked the trainer if I paid in full would I be reimbursed if I moved out the area. He  said if there wasn't an Atlas gym or training program withing I think 50 miles then yes. I asked because I was a recent college grad and I'd applied for several jobs out of the state (MS) so I knew that it would be likely that I'd moved before my training was over. I decided to go ahead and pay in full at the Courthouse gym (Brandon, MS location) bc I knew that would keep me motivated. Four months later, I was offered a job, I told my trainer as well as his boss three weeks before the move and they said they would start the process for a refund for unused sessions. *Keep in mind I kept my contract read it back and forth in case an issue came up* I had to submit a letter explaining why I was canceling my contract and where I was moving - there's no Atlas gym within 50 miles and I waited. And waited. Nothing. So I called the trainer with no luck, I texted the trainer with no luck...eventually life took over and I didn't have time to focus on this issue.

Now fast forward to Nov. 2013, I contacted my old gym and was given the name of a new trainer, she assured me she'd get in contact with the old trainer and get him to contact me....she did (thank you) and he contacted me (yay right? no.) He went on to say he didn't remember me, didn't remember agreeing to the reinmbursement, basically saying everything short of calling me a liar. Luckily, I keep everything in writing, and we'd exchanged several texts which I kept. So I sent him the texts, showing he did in FACT agree and he did in FACT say he'd pass the info along to Atlas fitness (apparently they have no recollection of this either...go figure). I was also given the number of a Neil Smith who works with atlas, called (no response...but apparently he talked to the trainer I was working with..?). Anyways, it's been two weeks, and several phone calls and texts later still NOTHING! I'm annoyed and have a bad taste in my mouth for this company and how it has all been handled. Sure I would love to have a refund...since I didn't ACTUALLY used the services I paid for, but more than anything i would LOVE some COMMUNICATION!!! If you cant give me a refund, then tell me. Don't ignore my calls and messages and think I'll just go away...because I won't.

This is completely unprofessional and damaging this company's reputation - believe me if anyone ever asks me if they should work with this company I'm just going to save them the trouble and blatantly say no. Next step is a BBB complaint if they're registered and after that I'm calling a lawyer. This may seem a bit dramatic, but you cannot take  advantage of or ignore your customers. This should have not been swepted under the rug, and I'm not sure who dropped the ball on this but this goes against all businesses best practices.
