Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I contracted a move through Atlas Moving Associates to take place on 11-21-04.The total charge was to set at $5205.I was told they could not dispatch a truck or schedule the move until I wired them a 25% deposit of $1369.I did that and was told the movers would be there on the 21st. They showed up. They immediatly started telling us we would have to pay additional charges for wrapping the furniture and loading it in the truck. These charges would be $30 per hour times three movers.

We explained to them we had already negotiated the price and we would not pay extra. They left after three hours and said they would call or be back the next day. We were in constant contact with Atlas Moving Associates. They assured us there would be no further charges and the movers should be back the next day. They did not show up. Atlas then told us they would find a new truck and they would be there on the 23rd. They did not show up either. By 1:00 on the 23rd we had found another mover to pick up our household furnishings and relocate us. We called Atlas and the supposed new movers to tell them we would not wait any more.

After the new movers loaded and left, we contacted Atlas to tell them we wanted our $1369 back. I spoke with the dispatcher,Junior and the owner, Vicki Paletti. Both of them were very rude and told me they would not give us our money back, period. The owner just hung up on me. When I called back Junior the dispatcher asked me to hold while he shut his door. When he got back on the phone, he told me quote," Between you and me,you should just get a lawyer."

I am contacting any and all companies I can to see if there is anything I can do to get my money back. I paid $1369 for NOTHING! Please let me know if there is anything you can do to help me. It is greatly appreciated.

Therefore, any move they contracted is illegal, and they have no claim to your deposit.
