I have been having problems with my TV's. The screen is pausing and volume is cutting out. Sometimes I have to turn my TV off and then back on again to get the volume back on. Also the screen distorts while watching shows. I called Direct TV and spoke with tech support. The man I spoke to said they are aware of a nationwide problem and have not been able to fix it. He stated that even if they came out and upgraded all of my equipment, it still would not fix the problems I was having. He said he would escalate my claim and they would be keep trying to fix the problem. I called back and talked to the billing department.

I asked if I could be compensated on my bill until the problems are fixed. They said no. I called back a couple weeks later and asked again. They offered me $30 off my bill. I did not think that was enough so I said no. I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being on hold for quite some time, the lady came back and said no supervisors were available. She did tell me that after I hang up a supervisor will be calling me within 20 minutes. I never recieved a call. So I called back a few days later. I again asked to speak to a supervisor. After being on hold for a while, the person came back and said there were no supervisors available.

They told me that when I hang up a supervisor will call me within the next 45 minutes. Nobody ever called me. A couple days later when I called back I actually talked with a supervisor. He stated that he will not be able to give me any kind of discounts or compensation at this time. I pay over $200 per month for Direct TV and have been a customer for over 13 years. I believe I should be compensated for poor satellite service. Even more so since they told me they do recognize a problem and don't have a fix for it. I believe their customer service and the satellite service they provide has went down hill since AT&T purchased Direct TV. I will be on the search for new satellite service.
