My wife and I moved into a suburb of Sacramento CA in August 08 and on the prospect of having to wait 10 days to get cable TV/internet, we decided to try AT&T /dish network. The salesperson on our cell phone told us of all the rebates and rates we would pay to go with AT&T /dish network.

After the land line phone was connected and the dish installed, we found the TV programming features not what it was described by salespeople. The channels changed by themselves on my TV, as if possessed by a ghost.

We decided to disconnect AT&T /dish network after only 8 days. It was then we were informed that we would be charged $240. A week later, we were sent ANOTHER bill for $188.98.

NONE of these disconnect charges, nor the 24 month contract were disclosed by AT&T /dish network salespersonel. We, the consumer, trust salespeople to disclose the "fine print". AT&T /dish network personel do not disclose any of this information. I will never have ANYTHING to do with AT&T /dish network for as long as I live and will actively tell all whom I meet to avoid this company. I will also seek to join any class action suit against AT&T /dish network.

if your channels were changing while you were watching tv. then what was going on.your sat had a uhf remote control and a neighbor had dish network with uhf remote control. the remotes were fighting for control of both the systems. the sat mode as 15 different address's . so when this happens either system would had to change the remote address. so they wouldnt interfer with each other again. or you had 2 receivers with uhf remotes with the same address. when installing 2 receivers in the same house with uhf remotes. the installer as to ensure they dont interfer. but its harder to know that unless the neighbor is home at the time of the install. so the installer could catch this problem. if you told the csr about this problem. then they should have caught this . also the the dealer is required to give all the disclosures. but the other thing is you should have had signed a contract and the installer was required to give you a copy. did you sign anything before the installer finished. did you read it and did it look like a contract. did you get a copy.

Upon further thought and reflection, using the title "A COMPANY OF CRIMINAL INTENT" is unfounded. Probably not all the employees are have criminal intent. I should have more appropriatly called my original report "AT&T /dish network...Sharks are Us"
