I started a monthly plan to protect my computer through at&t connecttech.  After several months of being on the plan I was experiencing some issues with my computer.  I called and spoke to a specialist and after several hours and several days of them attempting to fix the problems with my computer, I was forced to purchase a new computer.  I was told by the specialist they could wave the canciliation fee becasue they could not resolve the issue.

To get the service canceled and the fee waved, it had to go through a review.  My computer has been replaced for 3 months now and I've continued to pay for the service (has to be automatic payment monthly).  On Jan 31 2014 I had a cancilation fee of $64.35 charged to my credit card.  This on top of the monthly charge of $16.09. 

The monthly service I agreed to sign up for was supposed to protect my computer and at&t failed to provide the service.  I would have even sucked up the fact I was paying for a service I wasn't recieving had they just waved the early cancilation fee.  Especially since a representative told me it was possible to have the fee waved.  I really feel like at&t should refund every dollar I payed for the service.

The customer service for at&t connect tech was the worst I've ever had from any at&t service.  I've been disconected mupliple times.  I asked to speak to a representative that could help me resolve the issue and it wasn't done.  I even asked for simple e mail to email my complaint to and the representative gave me the phone number to connect tech.  The same number I dialed to speak with her.  Just the worst customer service I've ever experienced from any at&t service. 

My monthly at&t bill for phone, internet, and cable is $370.  I recieve great service for all three of these.  Connect tech however is a ripoff.  It's a good idea but if they fail to provide the service they say they'll provide, they should refund the money paid to them.  I would not go through the time and effort it has taken to write this report and wait on hold to speak with at&t representatives if I felt like the money I paid was worth the service. 

If at&t could have provided me with an email address to a complaints department I wouldn't have even had to do this through ripoffreport.com.
