Audiofile Stinkin rip-off scam dirt bags Riverside California
I was approached by a very nice Lincoln Navigator and it's the same story as all the others. Two guys showed up in a parking lot at the University of California, Riverside. The guys said they received an extra shipment of the speakers and they wanted to unload them. They had an authentic looking brochure that said the speakers were worth $1,499 retail and an invoice that showed the screw up.
They were very convincing to say the least. I feel like such a moron. I knew this was too good to be true but I paid $300 anyway. There are a lot of home theater systems I haven't heard of, and I thought maybe this was one of those custom high quality companies.
What's even worst is the fact that they sold two other speakers to some other guy for $550! I feel like such a jackass. Oh well, live and learn. And if I ever see these guys again I'm going to beat the living hell out of them on general principal!
