Booked a VIP for my friend's birthday party at Aura. It claimed Premium open bar for one hour which was not true; we were not even alowed to do shots!? They also failed to tell us that another huge party (full of sketchy; shady; and scary people) was booked for the same night which became overcrowded and very uncomfortable. I did not feel safe at all.
The DJ played Techno music all night while the flyer had claimed Reggae. We asked him several times to play something that we could dance too and he just ignored us. All of the staff at Aura were rude; ignorant; disrespectful; and extremely disorganized. And, the music was so loud that it was uncomfortable; even by night-club standards.
Aura was very small and FILTHY; my heels were sticking to floor all night! Drinks were watered-down and the (microwaved) food was way overpriced and terrible! We just left early. Save your money and don't go. I have no idea how this place even stays in business. Terrible.

The owner of this club takes advantage of the clientele by charging a "cover" for Pay-Per-View Fights that this establishment never paid a "licensing fee" to show. You are better off to watch it at home with the same people who were going to go to Aura with; believe me...

The Northern Liberties Homeowners association has been after owner Marc Stein for years. Neighbors are fed up with all the noise and violence that spills out of Club Aura when they close. Enter at your own RISK!
