I was working with Autopass Indy to get a new vehicle.  I looked up a vehicle that I liked and asked about price and financing.  I spent a couple weeks working with Auto Pass to find a vehicle and purchase price.  I found a vehicle I wanted and negotiated a price.  I was told I needed 10% down, $700 and we agreed on a price of $5,995 for a Mazda 8.  I received a call from Indy Auto Pass on a Thursday February 5th at about 1:00.  I was told the financing went through come pick up your vehicle.  I set the appointment to 4:00 that afternoon.  I drove from Kokomo and I was met by the salesman I had been working with David.  The car I was purchasing was covered in snow and still had the stickers in the window.  I was then ask to wait so I did.  Two hours I sat at an empty desk while they ran other cars through even though I had an appointment at 4:00.  I had purchased insurance for that vehicle and vin number I was provided by David.  So at 6:00 the owner came up to me and started running the deal.  He told me to wait some more.  He contacted the Finance "person" who was off that day and then told me I was approved for a beatuiful PT Cruiser they had for sale.  I have emails and confirmation of the Mazda 8, this was a bait and switch and done during one of the worst snow days Indiana had seen.  My drive home was at 30 mph for 100 miles and scary.  This is basic bait and switch.

I have a 750 credit score so approval wasn't the issue, however I have ask the site owner of Ripoff Report to compare the IP you posted with to the one I have on record from the emails the dealership sent me.  I hope the dealership isn't trying to slander my name with false information.  It would be really unwise to post private information and admit to bait and switch, but we will know soon enough.  If tthis is from autopass I would advise removing it.

I had this same thing happen to me in Port Charlotte. it was a place called Harbor Nissan. What actually happens though is that I didn't have good enough cresit for the car I wanted. So they put me in a car that worked with my credit. It certainly wasn't as nice as what I had wanted, but I understood that my credit wasn't that great. I can get pre-approved for lots of credit. But when it comes down to getting that credit, I can't. So hope that helps you out some. maybe if you improve your credit you'll be able to get the car you want.
