Absolutely terrible technical support! I had a non-English speaking "technician" with a real chip on her shoulder right from the start.  I would ask her questions and she would completely ignore me, then chastise and blame me for the fact that a virus had gotten through their "anti-virus" program.  This is 10 days AFTER another "technician" did the hard sale of $192.00 for "help" that would "guarantee my computer was faster and cleaner".  5 hours later, it was no better.

Fast forward to today, somehow a virus got through and shut down the antivirus.  The first tech spent 4 hours and did nothing as evidenced by the fact that the problem was still there afterward.  He apparently removed a driver which then prevented me from being able to get on the internet.  He tried to blame it on my router which was working fine.  Then he said it was a problem with my internet service provider, and he "knew this as lights on my modem shouldnt be yellow" (???)  I logged onto the internet with no problem from another household computer.  In the interim, he immediately closed our session, and logged out.  I called again, after 25 minutes on hold, this rude, RUDE, short-tempered barely intelligible person with a real chip on her shoulder answered.  It appeared as though she was more interested in chattering in spanish to a co-worker, and either got snippy, or ignored me when i asked a question.  

fire responding that I "was not letting her do her job" and "not to argue with her" (I had not typed a singleadversarial or otherwise) and telling me to "be professional" (???????) or she "would terminate the support session". Say what???

She was clearly unbalanced and thriving on giving me a hard time, the way she was acting was so outrageous I sat there completely stunned.  She was completely unprofessional and rude. Avast screwed up my computer royally, and to deal with an adversarial person who is supposed to be there to help, is frankly unconscionable.

I terminated the session, called customer service and asked for managment.  I was told I would have to speak with tech support to ask for a manager.  I held for another 20 minutes, another tech picked up and said they dont give calls to supervisors, and told me to call another number.  The next number had a voicemail saying they were currently closed and their normal hours are Monday - Saturday, 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.  The time of my call was 5:20 PM.  I called yet again and demanded a refund.  I was told I would have to call tech support.  I called again and was given another number that no one answered.  Are you kidding me???  I am now out $250 dollars, these people have wasted at least 12 hours of my time and deleted vital programs from my computer!!

I will be speaking to upper management, demanding a refund. I have removed all of avast's products from my various computers, and will also be advising others who I recommended them to, to do so as well. Not only did they lose one customer today, they lost more customers than they could possibly know. All because of ineptitude and rudeness.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! THEY ARE INEPT AND ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE and lost time, there are many other great companies out there!
