Avid Law Center is a Big Time Rip Off. First I received a letter in the mail about 3 to 4 years ago and I kept throwing them away. Finally, I kept one letter and a few months later, I called the number and spoke to Christopher Hicks. Christopher was real smooth. He began his speech about Securitization, Modification, etc. Being in somewhat of a predicament, I listened and long and behold, I fell for the trap. After speaking to some attorney named Hiro Watari and have you computer sign 2 contracts with an explanation of retainer. After a few days of not receiving any information, I called Christopher and left a message. Yep you guessed it. No return call. So, I emailed Christopher and he emailed me back stating that someone would be calling me later in the afternoon. Right there was another Red Flag. Why not return my call and why do I have to wait until the afternoon to receive a call? Anyway, I received a call from Katherine Alves. She convinced me that they were working on my modification and that it was taking longer than anticipated, but they would keep me updated via email. Well, again, witing the next couple of weeks, I never received any emails. Again, I contacted the company via email and was furious and accused them of SCAMMING innocent people. Oh, I received a call from Katherine Alves right away. She was very apologetic and then she said, "I have bad news." Of course, my case didn't qualify for a modification, but the company could attempt a re-fi for free.  I was furious and accused them of being liars, that there was never any information that they had prevy to, that I qualified for the so-called Securtization. Man, I thought I had done my home work. There's no such thing as a SECURITIZATION. Avid law Center is a fraud and are getting away with it. And, the innocents are the American people who are already in deep debt and who Avid Law Center are taking advantage of.
