Posting by folks who "appear" unable to communicate in the English language...

T, Good point, but don't forget these boards are anonymous, anyone can claim to be whomever, whatever they wish....If you wanted to make it appear that the folks who have problems with UOP lack credibility, because they are for example, unable to communicate in written English, how would you do it? Did you wonder how a person who writes like Nigel could be admitted to a university? This should speak VOLUMES. Assuming "Nigel" is what he claims, remember the US. Dept of Education (USDOE) found the UOP had subverted their regulations on recruiting, and settled that case for 9.8 million dollars. (google UOP DOE for the review). Specifically, they found UOP management pressured recruiters into enrolling UNQUALIFIED students. Hmmm, what IS going on at this school?

Yes, UOP is a ripoff, but Nigel's post isn't helping that argument much

I attended and graduated from UOP in 2004, and yes, I agree that the school was a pitiful excuse for a place of higher learning. The "learning teams" were particularly laughable. All you learned was that you would be doing the vast majority of the work all by yourself if you didn't want to get a failing grade. This would be fine were it not for the fact that your hard work helped the grades of those who did absolutely NOTHING! That being said, I am a little dismayed that the majority of people posting to complain about the school on this and other web sites seem to have a very poor grasp of the English language, sentence structure and punctuation. I'm not talking about a typo here or there (I'm sure there are one or two in this post), I'm talking full-on gobbledygook. People who look at these posts will not take them seriously, as they appear to have been written by people who sound as if they shouldn't have been let out of grammar school, much less admitted to any college. If you are going to complain that the school didn't do a good job educating you, or that they ripped you off, try to remember the following: Don't use "worse" when you mean "worst". Don't use "wasn't" when you mean "weren't". Don't use "doesn't" when you mean "don't". Oh, and the usage of commas and capitialization of the pronoun "I" would be nice, too.

STOP ATTENDING ALL THESE JUNK ON LINE SCHOOLS AND YOUR PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED

#4Consumer Suggestion

All brick & morter colleges and community colleges offer on line classes now at reasonable state tuition rates. If everyone would just stop this Bull$#*& of attending these rip off places of higher education, you would not be getting yourselves in a financial bind, or having these rip off companies trying to ruin your credit. Then UOP, AXIA, STRAYER, CAPELLA, and who ever else Jon Doe for profit schools will close up shop and be gone for good! These on line schools are a 100% rip off. I have taken a few on line classes through one of my local community college's and I am satisfied to know that its 100% accredited and transferable to any 4 year university, no questions asked. Please everyone, stop giving yourself a heartache
